- This extension follows the Invitation for Bids for the above project that appeared in Habari Leo on 25′ December, 2021 and in Daily News on 27 December, 2021. This extension also follows the Invitation for Bids for the above project that appeared in the United Nations Development Business Online Ref. UN-P908554-01/22 on the 211 January 2022 and on the International Fund for Agricultural Development’s Internet Website on the same
The bid submission deadline is extended as per point n. 7 below, meanwhile all the other provisions remain the same.
- The United Republic of Tanzania has received Financing from the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) towards the cost of IFAD’S RESPONSE TO COV1D-19 PROJECT IN TANZANIA – RURAL POOR STIMULUS FUND (RPSF). It is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to cover eligible payments under the contract for Supply and delivery of seeds (maize, vegetables/fruits and garlic).
- The Ministry of Agriculture now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply of seeds (maize, vegetables/fruits and garlic);
4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the

5. A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by interested bidders on the
submission of a written application to the above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of TZS 100,000.00.The method of payment will be Government Electronic Payment Gateway (GEPG) payable to Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, P.O Box 2182, Dodoma upon collection of bills from the cashier.
6. The provisions in the Instructions to Bidders and in the General Conditions of Contract
are the provisions of the African Development Bank Standard Bidding Document: Procurement of Goods or Procurement of Works.
7. Bids must be delivered to the Office of Secretary, Ministerial Tender Board, Ministry of Agriculture, University of Dodoma, School of Humanities, Block 9, Ground Floor, Room No. 1121, P.O. Box 2182, 40487 Dodoma, Tanzania on or before 10:00 hours local time on 181′ February, 2022 and must be accompanied by a Bid-Securing Declaration in the format provided in the Bidding Document.
8. Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders’ representatives who choose to attend
at 10:00 hours local time on 18th February, 2022 at the offices of Office of Secretary, Ministerial Tender Board, Ministry of Agriculture, University of Dodoma, School of Humanities. Block 9, Ground Floor, Room Na 1121, P.O. Box 2182, 40487 Dodoma, Tanzania.
