Invitation for Tenders
1.This Invitation for Tenderers follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project which appeared in PPRA portal of 30th August,2019
2. The Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited (TANESCO) has set aside funds for its operations during financial year 2019-20 and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of these funds to cover eligible payments under the contract for which this invitation is issued.
3. The Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited (TANESCO) now invites sealed tenders from eligible Suppliers for Supply of distribution material at Dar es Salaam and Coast Zone (llala, Temeke, Kinondoni North, Kinondoni South and Coast).
4. Tendering will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding method specified in the Procurement Regulations, 2013 Government Notice No.446 read together with public procurement (Amendments) Regulations, 2016 Government Notice No. 333.
5. The scope of supply will involve supply of Distribution Materials categorized in THREE Lots. Bidders are free to bid for any complete lot or combination of lot(s) of their choice, however one lot may be awarded to more than one bidder who found to be lowest evaluated bidders. First Orders will be given to all successful bidders; next orders will be given to the suppliers who have successfully completed the delivery of the previous order.
6. Interested eligible Tenderers may obtain further information from and inspect the Tendering Documents at the office of the Secretary Zonal Tender Board P.O.Box 2233, Dar es Salaam located along Samora Avenue, 3rd floor, room No. 319 from 09:00hrs to 16.00hrs on Mondays to Fridays inclusive with an exception of public holidays.
7. A complete set of Tendering Document(s) in English and additional sets may be purchased by interested Tenderers, on the submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 6 above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of 100,000.00 plus 18% VAT. Payment should be made through TANESCO Bank Account.
8. All tenders must be accompanied by a Bid Securing Declaration in the format provided in the Tendering Documents.
9. All tenders in one (1) original plus three (3) copies, properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes MARKED TENDER NO:PA/001/2018-19/DZN/G/05 FOR SUPPLY OF DISTRIBUTION MATERIAL AND ACCESSORIES FOR DAR ES SALAAM AND COAST ZONE UNDER FRAMEWORK AGREEMENT NOT TO OPENED BEFORE 14:3O HOURS LOCAL TIME ON 15TH NOVEMBER, 2019 must be delivered to the address: Secretary Delegated Zonal Tender Board, TANESCO DSM & COAST zone Ministry of Energy and Minerals SAMORA AVENUE P.O. BOX 2233, Dar es Salaam. Telephone No. +255 22 2133332, at or before 14.30 hours (Local time) on Friday 15th November, 2019. Tenders will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Tenderers’ representatives who choose to attend in the opening Ceremony at TANESCO Zonal Office; Ministry of Energy and Minerals Building, Fourth Floor, Conference Room No. 422
10. Late Tenders, Portion of Tenders, Electronic Tenders and Tenders not Received, Tenders not opened and not read out in public at tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
