Mwalimu Julius Nyerere Mlimani – MJNM campus, Lot 2: Construction of buildings for;
Innovation Centre, Gender and special needs services, hostel for postgraduate students,
and hostel for female students at Mwalimu Julius Nyerere Mlimani – MJNM campus
and Lot 3: Construction of buildings for CoICT, Kijitonyama and SoAF, Kunduchi)
Expression of Interest

- This invitation for expression of interest follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN)
which appeared in www.taneps.go.tz Issue no. 2022/2023 dated 23/07/2022. - The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has set aside funds for the operation
of the University of Dar es Salaam during the financial year 2022/2023. It is intended that
part of the proceeds of the fund will be used to cover eligible payment under the contract
for the Provision of Consultancy Services for Preparation of Rehabilitation needs, Design,
Preparation of Bidding Documents, Cost Estimates and Supervision of Package 1 Projects
(Lot 1: Rehabilitation of CoET buildings and Construction of new buildings at CoET at
Mwalimu Julius Nyerere Mlimani – MJNM campus, Lot 2: Construction of buildings for;
Innovation Centre, Gender and special needs services, hostel for postgraduate students,
and hostel for female students at Mwalimu Julius Nyerere Mlimani – MJNM campus and
Lot 3: Construction of buildings for CoICT, Kijitonyama and SoAF, Kunduchi). - The University of Dar es Salaam now invites eligible Firms to indicate their interest
in providing the services which include The consulting services (“the Services”) include
carrying out Consultancy Services for Preparation of Rehabilitation needs, Design,
Preparation of Bidding Documents, Cost Estimates and Supervision of Package 1 Projects
(Lot 1: Rehabilitation of CoET buildings and Construction of new buildings at CoET at
Mwalimu Julius Nyerere Mlimani – MJNM campus, Lot 2: Construction of buildings for;
Innovation centre, gender and special needs services, hostel for postgraduate students,
and hostel for female students at Mwalimu Julius Nyerere Mlimani – MJNM campus and
Lot 3: Construction of buildings for CoICT, Kijitonyama and SoAF, Kunduchi). The total
duration for the entire assignment shall be 36 months. The estimated level of effort is 141.1
professional staff-months. as follows:
- Bidders are allowed to quote for All lots and award will be made on lot by lot basis.
- Interested Firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform
the services by submitting consultant’s profile, description of similar assignments,
experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.
Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications. - A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the Public
Procurement Act No. 7 of 2011 and the Public Procurement Regulations, 2013 – Government
Notice No. 446 (hereinafter called Procurement Regulations). - Selection will be conducted through the Quality and Cost based selection procedures
specified in the Public Procurement Regulations. - Interested eligible consultants may obtain further information from the office of the
University of Dar es Salaam P.O. Box 35091, Dar es Salaam, [email protected] from
08:00-16:00 on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays. - Expressions of Interest (EoI) must be electronically submitted in the proper format, at or
before 13/01/2023, 14:00 - Late Expressions of Interest shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the
circumstances.
