Expression of Interest

1. This invitation for expression of interest follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN)
   which appeared in United Nations Development Business (UNDB) Issue no. WB-0P0015674
   dated 28/11/2021.
2. The Eastern Africa Statistical Training Centre received/has applied for/intends to apply
   for a grant from the World Bank towards the cost of Higher Education for Economic
   Transformation (HEET) and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this grant to cover
   eligible payments under the contract for PROVISION OF CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR
   REVIEW OF DRAWING DESIGNS, PREPARATION OF BIDDING DOCUMENTS, COST
   ESTIMATES AND SUPERVISION OF CONSTRUCTION AND REHABILITATION OF
   BUILDINGS AND RELATED INFRASTRUCTURE AT (EASTC).
3. The Eastern Africa Statistical Training Centre now invites eligible Firms to indicate their
   interest in providing the services which include Review of drawing designs, Preparation of
   Bidding Documents, Cost Estimates and Supervision of Construction and Rehabilitation of
   Buildings and Related Infrastructure at Eastern Africa Statistical Training Centre (Eastc)-
   Dar Es Salaam. The total duration for the entire assignment shall be twenty-seven (27)
   calendar months where by (6) six months will be for design works, three (3) months for
   procurement of Contractor, twelve (12) months for construction and six (6) months for
   defect liability period. The estimated level of effort is 56.75 Staff-Months.
4. Interested Firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform
   the services by submitting consultant’s profile, description of similar assignments,
   experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.
   Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.
5. A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the Public
   Procurement Act No. 7 of 2011 and the Public Procurement Regulations, 2013 – Government
   Notice No. 446 (hereinafter called Procurement Regulations).
6. Selection will be conducted through the Consultants Qualification selection procedures
   specified in the Public Procurement Regulations.
7. Interested eligible consultants may obtain further information from the office of the Dar
   Es Salaam, [email protected] from 09:00-16:00 on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on
   public holidays.
8. Expressions of Interest (EoI) must be electronically submitted in the proper format, at or
   before 26/05/2023, 10:30
9. Late Expressions of Interest shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the
   circumstances.
