ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT (ESIA) AT
EASTERN AFRICA STATISTICAL TRAINING CENTRE-DAR ES SALAAM
Expression of Interest

  1. This invitation for expression of interest follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN)
    which appeared in United Nations Development Business (UNDB) and www.taneps.go.tz
    Issue no. WB-0P0015674 dated 28/11/2021.
  2. The Eastern Africa Statistical Training Centre received/has applied for/intends to apply
    for a credit from the World Bank towards the cost of Higher Education for Economic
    Transformation (HEET) and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to cover
    eligible payments under the contract for PROVISION OF CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR
    UNDERTAKING ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT (ESIA) AT
    EASTERN AFRICA STATISTICAL TRAINING CENTRE-DAR ES SALAAM.
  3. The Eastern Africa Statistical Training Centre now invites eligible Firms to indicate
    their interest in providing the services which include preparation of ESIA, develop
    the Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP) as well as Health and Safety
    Management Plan (HSMP) for the proposed construction and rehabilitation activities in
    EASTC campus, total staff input shall not exceed 90 person days from date of contract
    signing. The initial period of this assignment will be three (3) months which may be
    extended based on satisfactory performance and project needs. The Consultancy Services
    (“the services”) intent is to carry out Consultancy in accordance with offered Terms of
    Reference (ToR) including the applicable National Legislations as well as World Bank
    Environmental and Social Frameworks requirements.
  4. Interested Firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform
    the services by submitting consultant’s profile, description of similar assignments,
    experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.
    Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.
  5. A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the Public
    Procurement Act No. 7 of 2011 and the Public Procurement Regulations, 2013 – Government
    Notice No. 446 (hereinafter called Procurement Regulations).
  6. Selection will be conducted through the Consultants Qualification selection procedures
    specified in the Public Procurement Regulations.
  7. Interested eligible consultants may obtain further information from the office of the

  8. Expressions of Interest (EoI) must be electronically submitted in the proper format, at or
    before 06/04/2023, 10:00
  9. Late Expressions of Interest shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the
    circumstances.
