Dear Mr. /Ms.

1. This Invitation for submission of Proposals follows the General Procurement Notice for
   project which appeared in www.taneps.go.tz Issue no. Taneps dated 17/08/2022.
2. The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has allocated public funds for the
   cost of Consultancy Services for Review of Hydrological Capacity of Muhuwesi Bridge
   and Propose Remedy Measures including Environmental and Social Impact Assessment,
   Detailed Engineering Design and Preparation of Tender Documents of the approved
   measures. and intends to apply a portion of the funds to eligible payments under the
   Contract for which the Request for Proposal (RFP) is issued.
3. The Tanzania National Roads Agency – Ruvuma now invites proposals to provide the
   following consulting services: Consultancy Services for Review of Hydrological Capacity
   of Muhuwesi Bridge and Propose Remedy Measures including Environmental and Social
   Impact Assessment, Detailed Engineering Design and Preparation of Tender Documents
   of the approved measures More details on the services are provided in the Terms of
   Reference.
4. This Letter of Invitation and the RFP has been issued to the following short-listed
   Consultants:
   •Advanced Engineering Solution
   •Crown-TECH Consult Ltd
   •Howard Consulting Limited
   •SMEC International (Pty)
   •ATKINS (Tanzania) Limited
   It is not permissible to transfer this invitation to any other firm.
5. A firm will be selected under National Competitive Selection and procedures described
   in this RFP.
6. In addition to the Letter of Invitation, the RFP includes the following documents, which
   are available online under the Tender Documents section of TANePS:
   • Section 1 : Information to Consultants (ITC)

   (b) whether you will submit a proposal alone or in association with any other
   Consultant.
