Expression of Interest

1. This invitation for expression of interest follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN)
   which appeared in TANePS Issue no. TANePS dated 20/07/2022.
2. The President’s Office – Regional Administration and Local Government received/
   has applied for/intends to apply for a credit from the the International Development
   Association (IDA) towards the cost of Msimbazi Basin Development Project (MBDP) and
   it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to cover eligible payments under the
   contract for The Provision of Consultancy Services for Carrying out Geotechnical Analysis
   and Reviews of Designs for Earthworks under the Flood Detention Area and Riverbank
   Protection Sub-Component of the Lower Msimbazi Basin.
3. The President’s Office – Regional Administration and Local Government now invites
   eligible Firms to indicate their interest in providing the services which include (a) Establish
   a grid of points for bore hole testing with a maximum spacing of 250 m (b) Perform bore
   hole testing on the approved testing points, conduct laboratory tests of the samples to
   determine soil characteristics and create soil profiles for each of the boreholes; (c) Using
   the relevant geotechnical software, generate a geological model from the soil profiles and
   create geological sections at a maximum interval of 250 m; (d) Analyze the results and
   establish the quality and quantity of each geotechnical soil type and their suitability for
   the construction of terraces (e) Recheck the embankment protections that designed to
   determine whether they can withstand the pressure
4. Interested Firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform
   the services by submitting consultant’s profile, description of similar assignments,
   experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.
   Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.
5. A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the Public
   Procurement Act No. 7 of 2011 and the Public Procurement Regulations, 2013 – Government
   Notice No. 446 (hereinafter called Procurement Regulations).
6. Selection will be conducted through the Consultants Qualification selection procedures
   specified in the Public Procurement Regulations.
7. Interested eligible consultants may obtain further information from the office of the
   Dodoma, [email protected] from 09:00-15:00 on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on
   public holidays.
8. Expressions of Interest (EoI) must be electronically submitted in the proper format, at or
   before 25/05/2023, 15:00
9. Late Expressions of Interest shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the
   circumstances.
