INVITATION FOR TENDERS
Tender No: OIKOS/ KISIMA/KITET0/ 2021/01 For
Construction of Water Scheme for Ndedo and lrkiushioibor villages in Kiteto District, Manyara Region – Tanzania

WHEREAS
The Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (hereinafter referred to as the Donor) funded the project “KISIMA -Strengthening of the water services in the districts of Kiteto and Simanjiro, In Manyara Region -AID 011902/0IKOS/TZA” (hereinafter referred to as the Project) and appointed Istituto Oikos (hereinafter referred to as IO), an environment and development Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) based in Milan (Italy), as leading organization for the implementation of the Project; IO and Oikos East Africa (hereinafter referred as OEA), an NGO based ln Arusha (Tanzania), on the 1st of November 2019 signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the implementation of the Project;
IO and the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency Manyara (RUWASA Manyara), on the 15th of December 2019 signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the implementation of the Project;
The Project foresees the rehabilitation/construction of a water scheme in Ndedo and lrkiushioibor villages (Kiteto District, Manyara Region), as per activity 3.1 of the Project’s document;
Oikos East Africa invites sealed tenders from eligible contractors registered in Class VI and above to bid on the following lots:
LOT 1: (Registered civil work contractor)
Construction of Civil Works for Ndedo and lrkiushioibor Villages Water Supply Scheme.
LOT 2: (Pipes manufactures and agents)
Supply of pipes and fittings.
LOT 3: (Specialized solar pumps suppliers)
Supply and construction of solar pumping system for Ndedo and lrkiushioibor Villages.
Tender Document(s) in English language will be available at OEA office. Each Tender Document(s) will have a value of 100,000/=TZS and after complete filling all Tender Document(s) must be submitted at OEA office. Site visits for LOT 1 are compulsory and will be conducted on the 1st of April 2021 {the meeting point will be at the village of Ndedo at 09:00 a.m. and then later to lrkiushioibor village, the visit costs will be at bidder’s expense).
Contractors and Suppliers can apply for either all lots or a single lot. All bids must be properly filled in, and enclosed in a plain envelope, written on top the tender number (OIKOS/KISIMA/KITET0/2021/01/LOT__). All bid documents must be delivered to the following address: Secretary of the Tender Board, OIKOS EAST AFRICA Office, 12 Halle Selassie Road, House Plot No.165, Arusha, by 10:00 a.m. on 8th of April 2021. Bids will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in presence of any bidders’ representatives who choose to attend the opening session at the OEA office.
Late bid, portions of bids, electronic bids, bids not received, bid not opened and not read out in public at the bid opening session shall not be accepted for evaluation, irrespective of the circumstances.
