UNAIDS is leading the global effort to end AIDS as a public health threat by 2030 as part of the Sustainable Development Goals.

UNAIDS now invites proposals for the following: Consultancy to review and collate data from key population communities for potential inclusion in sub-Saharan national Spectrum estimates. Timing: The delivery of the work should occur approximately 3 months after the start of work. Countries: Angola, Botswana, Comoros, Eritrea, Eswatini, Ethiopia, Kenya, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Rwanda, Seychelles, South Africa, South Sudan, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon Gambia, Ghana Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Libera, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Togo.

Period of Validity of Proposals: The offer outlined in the proposal must be valid for a minimum period of 120 calendar days after the closing date. Qualifications and Professional Experience Required: Successful candidates will have the following qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or higher from accredited university;
  • Proven experience in systematic literature reviews (published and grey literature) plus collection and review of HIV-related program data related to HIV epidemiology among key populations. This includes assessing the availability and quality of relevant data;

• Previous work with UNAIDS or other international institution operating in the field of HIV epidemiology related to key populations is desirable but not mandatory;

  • Experience working with large databases and HIV program data is a plus.

Closing Date for Submission of Proposals: Proposals must be received as specified no later than 8th April 2021 at 23:59 Geneva time. UNAIDS may, at its own discretion, extend this closing date for the submission of proposals by notifying all bidders thereof in writing. Any proposal received by UNAIDS after the closing date for submission of proposals may be rejected.

The bidder shall submit the separate technical and financial proposals via the E-Tendering system by the closing date. There will not be a public opening of bids.
