DESIGN, SUPPLY, INSTALLATION, TESTING AND COMMISSIONING IN EXTENSION FOR SGR-1 220kV TRANSMISSION LINE FROM TO MSAMVU SUBSTATION
INVITATION FOR TENDER
Date: 9th September, 2021
1. The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has set aside funds for the operation of the Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited (TANESCO) during the financial year 2021/22. It is intended that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used to cover eligible payment under the contract for the Design, Supply, Installation Testing and Commissioning of Extension for SGR-1 220kV Transmission Line from Kingolwira – Msamwu Substation.
2. TANESCO now invites your sealed Tender for the Design, Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Extension for SGR-1 220kV Transmission Line from Kingolwira to Msamvu Substation under the following scope: –
• Design, Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of 220kV Kingolwira-Msamvu Transmission Line.
• Design, Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of bay extension at Msamvu substation.
3. Tendering will be conducted through international Competitive Tendering procedures specified in the Public Procurement Regulations, 2013— Government Notice No. 446 as amended in 2018.
4. Discount offered will be taken into account in the tender evaluation and ultimately determining overall lowest evaluated tenderer.
5. All Tenders must be accompanied by original tender security of TZS. 120,000,000.00 (Tanzanian Shillings One Hundred Twenty Millions) or USD 50,000 (United States Dollars Fifty-five Thousand) in the form of bank guarantee or banker’s cheque from reputable local commercial bank and counter quarateed by reputable commercial Bank – for (International Bank) and shall be valid it to twenty-eight (28) days from expiration of tender validity period etc.
6. The original Tender Security must be submitted physically to Secretary of the Tender Board, Tanzania Electric Supply Limited. P.O. Box 9024 Dar Es Salaam, MOROGORO ROAD, UBUNGO AREA, Building/ Plot No: UMEME PARK BULGING. Ground Floor, Tender Room No. G04, on or before submission deadline from 08:00 to 15:30 hours’ East African time on Mondays to Fridays except on Pubic holidays.
7. Interested eligible Tenderers may obtain information about Tendering Documents online through Tanzania National Electronic Procurement System (TANePS) through (www.taneps.go.tz).
8. All Tenders properly filed in, must be delivered to TANePS via www.taneps.go.tz on or before 14:30 HRS East African time. 30th September, 2021. Tenders will be opened promptly thereafter on TANePS.
9. Tenders not received on TANePS shall not be accepted for evaluation.
10. TANESCO will organize site visit on 16th September, 2021 from 8:00 Hours. All Tenderers are required to be at TANESCO’s Mogogoro Office on or before 08 00Hrs, and the site visit will start from Msamvu Substation to Kingolwari SGR Traction Substation under the arrangement of Senior Manager Procurement Management Unit Email: [email protected] are strongly advised to attend Site visit on started date. Pre-tender meeting will be held on the same day of the site visit.
