Development of Kimbiji Water Project
Invitation for Tender Date: 22/7/2019
1. This invitation for Bid follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this project that appeared in the PPRA Tender Portal, DAWASAwebsites, Daily News No. ISSN 0856-3812; 12401 on 31″ May, 2019.
2. Dar es Salaam Water and Sewerage Authority has set aside funds for the operation during the financial year 2019/2020. It is intended that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used to cover eligible payment under the contract for the Development of Kimbiji Water Project
3. The Dar es Salaam Water and Sewerage Authority now invites sealed tenders from eligible Civil Contractors in Class three and above for carrying out the construction of water reservoir at Kimbiji area: –
Lot 1. Construction of Transmission pipeline and submersible pumps in Boreholes Kimbiji Water Supply Project
Scope of the Works includes but not limit to:
a) Pump Test and Pump Design for five boreholes at Kimbiji
b) Supply and Installation of five submersible pumps: 2 pcs Q 250M3/hr, H=50, 2pcs Q250M3/HR, H=95mm, 1 pc 0250
M3/hr, H=l 50mm scope to include testing and commissioning.
c) Supply and Installation of Borehole raiser pipes (stainless steel) connections pump and pump head as per pump design.
d) Supply and Installation of pump head complete with accessories such as bends, air valve, gate valve and flow meters
e) Electrical power supply to each borehole, power transformers and switch gear for each borehole and panel building
Lot 2. Construction of Sump tank, pumping station, transmission pipeline and reservoir to save 5 Boreholes Kimbiji Water Supply Project ·
Bidders are required to bid all items.
Scope of.the Works includes but not limit to:
a) Construction of Sump and Booster Station at Borehole No. 16 as per drawing complete with pumps, electro mechanics items and bulk meters
b) Construction of 10,000m3 concrete reservoir as per drawing
c) Carry out Topographic survey and hydraulic design for collector pipes from borehole to sump and from booster station to the reservoir
d) Supply and installation of collector pipes to connect boreholes to sump, size 400mm length 8.7km, PN 25, complete with fitting and profiles.
e) Supply and install Transmission pipes from Booster station to reservoir complete with profiles, fittings and accessories. Pipes size 1 ,OOOmm lengh 6.3km, PN 25
f) Carryout geotechnical survey at the sump, booster and reservoir locations and carry out design review for the above structure
g) Construction of fence at Booster station and reservoir site, landscaping, external lighting and guard house
h) Electrical supply and installation at booster and reservoir site
i) Scada to link operation data
j) Construction of post chlorination facilities and reservoir operation building including toilet, water supply and sewerage system.
Bidders may tender for single or all lots it depends on specialty
4. Tendering will be conducted through the National competitive procedures specified in the Public Procurement Regulations, 2013 – Government Notice No. 446 as amended in 2016, and is open to all Tenderers as defined in the Regulations.
5. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the Bidding Documents at the office of the Secretary, DAWASA Tender Board, DAWASA Building, Dunga I Malanga Street, opposite Mwananyamala Hospital P.O BOX 1573 Dar es Salaam from 0800 to 1600 hours on Mondays to Fridays except on public holidays.
6. A complete set of Bidding Document(s) in English and additional sets may be obtained by interested and eligible Bidder from the office ofThe Secretary, DAWASA Tender Board upon payment of non-refundable fee of Tshs 200,000.00 from 0800 to 1600 hours local time on Mondays to Fridays except public holidays. Payment should be made to ANY BRANCH OF CRDB BANK A/C NO. 01J1021921900, a copy of Pay in Slip should be submitted to the Secretary, DAWASA Tender Board, DAWASA Building, Dunga/Malanga street, Opposite Mwananyamala Hospital, Dar es Salaam.
7. All Tenders must be accompanied by a Tender Security in an acceptable form in the amount specified in the bid document in each Lot.
8. All bids in one original plus two copies properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes must be delivered to the address below clearly marked tender for Development of Kimbiji Water Project Bid Number AE/033/2019-2020/W/27 LOT 1 &2 at DAWASA building at or before 11 :OOhrs on Thursdayl 5th August, 2019, Bids will be opened promptly thereafter in public in the presence of Bidders’ representatives who choose to attend the opening ceremony at the DAWASA Board Room, DAWASA Building, Dunga/Malanga Street, Opposite to Mwananyamala Hospital, Dar es Salaam.
9. Late Bids, Portion of Bids, Electronic Bids, Bids not opened and not read out in public at the bid opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
