EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR PURCHASE OF BUILDING AT MAGU DISTRICT OFFICE IN MWANZA REGION

Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited TANESCO is an autonomous Government organization with the mission to Generate, Transmit and Distribute Electricity. The Company has its Headquarters in Dodoma and extends to over 28 Regions divided into Seven Zones and more than 92 Districts all over the country. Due to an increase number of customers, the company has decided to purchase a property for TANESCO District Office so that the customers will be attended timely in case of emergency cases and obtain other company services through these offices.
TANESCO intends to acquire a building within Magu District in Mwanza region and therefore issued this Expression of Interest for the purpose of identifying property owners who have an interest in offering their buildings for sale.
Selection Criteria will be as follows
- The cover letter should indicate the legal owner of the land.
- The owner should state history of land use and age of the Building.
- The owner should have full legal document i. e. Title Deed.
- The building should be within Magu District, Mwanza Region.
- The building should have the plot measuring in the range of 3,000 to 4, 000 square metre.
- The building should be located in Central Business District, well designed and easily accessible to most of the socioeconomic facilities.
- The building should be within the vicinity of township close to all social economic activities.
- The building should be along the street road for easy accessibility by service and customer cars and pedestrians. electricity. The building should have five large rooms that can serve purpose for office use, toilets, mini storage room, running tap water and .
- The building should not be part of mortgage at any Bank or any other financial institution.
TANESCO now invites Expression of Interest from owners of buildings in the area specified above. The building shall have easy access to the general public and within a friendly environment that is appropriate for the company business.
On receipt of such Expression of interest, the said building will be inspected for preliminary short-Listing of those areas that meets requirement under Para 2 above. Owners of the shortlisted buildings would be requested to submit their financial offers for scrutiny and comparison prior entering into contract with the lowest evaluated owner. The Expression of interest can be forwarded by owners or their representatives enclosing legally binding authorization to administer on his/her behalf including finalizing the agreement.
Interested eligible owners of building may obtain expression of interest document free of MANAGER, TANESCO, P. 0. BOX 812, MWANZA TANESCO Building along Station Road at Mwanza town from 09.00 12.30 hours and 14.00 16.30 hours local time (Monday to Friday) exclusive on public holidays.
Expression of Interest documents in one (1) original plus two (2) copies, properly filled in are to be enclosed in plain sealed envelopes marked.
TENDER No.PA/001/201&19/LZNIG/35 EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR PURCHASE OF BUILDING AT MAGU DISTRICT OFFICE IN MWANZA REGION must be delivered to reach SENIOR ZONAL MANAGER, TANESCO LAKE ZONE, P. 0. BOX 812, MWANZA, TANESCO Building along Station Road at Mwanza not later than the closing date at 14:30hrs (local time). If owner has more than one building to be offered. a separate Expression of Interest has to be submitted for each building.
Deadline for submission will be on or before 14:30hrs local time 18th June 2019 on Tuesday. The submissions will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of owner’s representatives who choose to attend in the opening ceremony.
Late submissions, portion of submissions, electronic submissions, and submissions not received, submissions not opened and not read out in public at the tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted irrespective of the circumstances.
