Invitation for Bid IFB
NAME OF PROJECT: Geophysical Hydro-geological survey and drilling of 5 productive boreholes.

This Invitation fox; Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project which appeared in Development Business, issue no. WB320-969/07 dated August 2007.
The Ifakara Town Council has received financing from Development Partners and the Government of United Republic of Tanzania towards the cost of “Geophysical hydrogeological survey and drilling of 5 productive boreholes” and intends to apply portion of the funds to eligible payments under the contract for which this Invitation for Bids is issued.
The Ifakara Town Council now invites sealed bids from qualified contractors for specialist A contractor drilling Works class Five and above to carry out the following;

Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) proceed specified in the Public Procurement Act, 2011 and the Public Procurement (Goods, Works Non-Consultant Services and Disposal of Public Assets by Tender) Regulations 2013 and it amendments’ of 2016 and 2018 are open to all eligible bidders.

from 7:30am to 3:30pm on Monday to Friday except on public holidays.
Qualification requirements include: legal status i.e. registered with CRB (MANDATORY ‘ 4}”: should posses class Five and Above of CRB registration categories for Specialist Contractor ‘ drilling Works,_ Should have qualified and experienced key personnel for administration and execution of the contract.
A complete set of Bidding Documents in English, in hard copy and additional sets may be purchased by any interested bidder on address given under paragraph 5 above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Tshs 100,000 (Tanzanian One hundred thousand). Payment should be made through Bank, payable to the Town Director, Ifakara Town Council, P.O. Box 433, Ifakara.
All bids in one original plus two copies, properly filled in, and shall be submitted at or ~ before 31″ may, 2019 at 11:00hrs local time. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened physically 31“may, 2019 at 11:00 hrs Local time in the presence of bidders’ representatives who choose to attend in person at the office of Town Director, Ifakara Town Council.
All bids shall be accompanied by a bid securing declaration form in the format provided in the biding documents.
Site visit and pre-tender meeting will be held on 23rd may, 2019 all bidder s are required to bear the cost of their own transport to and from the sites. The bidders are requested to report to Town Water Engineer’s Office at 10:00 am.

It should be noted that, late bids, portions of bids, electronic bid, bid not received, bid not opened and not read out in public at the bid opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
