Invitation for Tenders
This Invitation for Tenders follows the General Procurement Notice for these Projects which was sent and received by Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) and TANROADS on 17th May 2019 for Publications. The advertisement of the GPN was effective from 15‘h May 2019.
The Government of Tanzania has set aside funds for the operation of the Regional Manager’s Office, TANROADS Rukwa during the financial year 2019/20. It is intended that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used to cover eligible payment under the contracts for Periodic Maintenance, Spot Improvement, Routine 8: Recurrent Maintenance, Bridges Major Repair on various Trunk and Regional Roads and Provision of Security Services.
The Regional Manager, TANROADS Rukwa now invites sealed tenders from eligible National Civil Works contractors registered in Relevant Classes, Special Group (Women) and Security Services Providers as shown in Table 1

Tendering will be conducted through the National Competitive Tendering procedures specified in the Public Procurement Regulations, 2013 Government Notice No. 446 as amended in 2016 and is open to national Tenderers only as def1ned in the Regulations and as shown in Table 1 above.
Interested eligible Tenderers and Security Service Providers may obtain further information from and inspect the Tendering Documents at the off1ce of the Regional Manager, TANROADS -Rukwa (Procurement Management Unit) located at Makutano in Sumbawanga Municipality, PO. Box 04 Sumbawanga, telephone No.+ 255 25 28021 34, E-Mail: [email protected] from 8:00 -16:30 hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays.
A complete set of Tendering Document(s) in English language and additional sets may be purchased by interested Tenderers/Security Service Providers on submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 5 above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee shown in Table 1. Payment should be made through Government Electronic Payment Gateway (GEPG) as directed by the Regional Manager (Accounts Section).
All Tenders must be accompanied by a Tender Security in the form of Tender Securing Declaration in the format provided in the solicitation documents.
All Tenders in one original plus one copy, properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes must be delivered to the Secretary of the Delegated TANROADS Regional Tender Board Room No. 10, PMU Building at the Regional Manager’s Office, TANROADS Rukwa located at Makutano in Sumbawanga Municipality at or before 10:00 hours on 5th July 2019. Tenders will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Tenderers’ representatives who choose to attend in the opening at the Regional Manager’s Off1ce -TANROADS Rukwa, PMU Building.
Late tenders, portion of tenders, electronic tenders, tenders not received, tenders not opened and not read out in public at the tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstance.
