This Invitation for Tenders follows the General Procurement Notice which was posted to Tender Portal (PPRA Website) and TANROADS website as per Public Procurement Regulation guidance as from 10th May , 2019.
The Government of Tanzania has set aside funds for the operation of the Tanzania National Road: Agency (TANROADS) Mwanza Region during the financial year 2019/2020. It is Intended that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used to cover eligible payments under the contracts for PERIODIC MAINTENANCE WORKS; ROUTINE AND RECURRENT MAINTENANCE WORKS; BRIDGES WORKS; TRUNK ROAD 81 REGIONAL ROADS; IN MWANZA REGION
The Delegated TANROADS Regional Tender Board Mwanza on behalf of the Chief Executive. TANROADS invited seals tenders from eligible tenderers, registered with Contractors Registration Board (CR8) In Class as shown In the table below for the following roads:

Tender will be conducted through the National Competitive Tendering procedures specified in the Public Procurement (Goods, Works, Non Consultant Service and Disposal of Public Assets by Tender) Regulations, 2013 Government Notice No. 446 and 15 open to National Tenderers only as defuned 1n the Regulations unless otherwise stated in the Tender Data Sheet.
Interested eligible Tenderers may obtain further information from and inspect the Tendering Documents at the office of the Regional Manager, TANROADS Mwanza, Ujenzi Buildings, opposite Railway Station Terminal Building, Mwanza City, P.0.Box 1410 Mwanza, telephone no. 0282500340,Fax 028 2500956, Email: rm-mwanza@tanroads,go.tz from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm on Mondays to Friday inclusive except on public holidays.
A complete set of Tendering Documents in English and additional sets may be purchased by any interested eligible Tenderer on submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 5 above and upon payment of non-refundable fee of Tshs.200,000.00 for Tenders No.1,2,3,6,7,9,12,13, and Tshs.150,000.00 for Tenders No.04,5,8,10,11, 27,28, 29,30 and Tshs.100,000 for Tender No.14, 16 25. Payment should be made by Cash deposit against a control number that will be provided at the office of Accounts TANROADS Mwanza. Bank pay in slip should be submitted to the Accounts department at Mwanza Regional Manager’s office before Tender Documents Issuance.
Site visit and pre-tender meeting shall be held on Monday 17‘h June 201 9 for tender No 06, 07, 09,10, and 26 &Tuesday 18m June 2019 for tender No 01,02, 03,04, 05, 11,12,13,14,15,27,28,29 & 30 respectively Tenderers are required to attend the site visits scheduled to start at TANROADS Regional Manager’s office Mwanza Region at 09.00hrs local time at their own cost.
All tenders must be accompanied by a tender securing declaration in the format provided in the tendering documents.
All tenders in one original plus two copies, properly filled in and enclosed in plain envelopes must be delivered to the Regional Manager Office, at or before 1 0.00 hours local time on Tuesday 25th June, 201 9. Tenders will be opened promptly thereafter in Public and in the presence of Tenderers’ representatives at the office of the Representatives who choose to attend in the opening ceremony at the conference Room, TANROADS Regional Manager’s Office, Ujenzi Building, Railway Road, P.O. Box 141 0, Mwanza.
Late tenders, portion of tenders, electronic tenders, tenders not received, tenders not opened and not read out in public at the tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstance.
All tenders in enclosed sealed covers must clearly be marked ”TENDER No.AE/001/2019/2020/MZAIWI……” for Period Maintenance/ Routine and Recurrent maintenance….Bridges…………. on outer envelopes and not to be opened before 10:00 am local time on Tuesday 25th June, 2019. Bids sent by post must be registered.
