PROCUREMENT OF EPC CONTRACTORS FOR PLANT DESIGN, SUPPLY, INSTALLATION, TESTING AND COMMISSIONING UNDER TANESCO TRANSMISSION GRID REHABILITATION AND UPGRADE PROJECT(TTGRUP) FOR REHABILITATION AND UPGRADE OF OPTICAL FIBER GRID TELECOMMUNICATION NETWORK UNDER LOT 1,2,3 & 4

1. TANESCO Limited through the Government of United Republic of Tanzania has received financing from French development agency for rehabilitation and upgrade project (TTGRUP) for rehabilitation and upgrade of optical fibre grid telecommunication network under lot 1,2,3 & 4
2. TANECSO therefore intends to invite contractors and/or for design, manufacturing, supply, delivering, demolition, construction assembling field erection testing provision of space basis and offering part financing together with its offer goods and services for TANESCO Grid rehabilitation and upgrade project
3. The scope of work involves 4 lots as follows

• Lot 1 – Kondoa – Babati- Mbulu-Karau OPGW-235 KM
• Lot 2 Shinyanga – Mbeki-Mwanza-Bunda-Musoma-OPGW-370 KM
• Lot 3 Shinyanga – Nzega -Tabora OPGW-230 KM
• Iringa – Mufindi –Makambako-Mbeya OPGW -357 KM

4. Tendering will be conducted as per tendering procedures as specified in the public procurement regulations of 2013 – government notice 446 read together with public procurement (amendment) regulations of 2016 government notice no 333 and is open to all tenders

5. The provision in the instruction to bidders and in the general condition of contract are the provision of AFD’s Standard Bidding Document Procurement works

6. Interested eligible tender may obtain further information from and inspect tendering documents at the office of the Secretary of the Tender Board, TANESCO Umeme Parking Building Ground Floor, Tender room no G.04 Ubungo Area along Morogoro Road, P.O. 7. A complete set of tendering document may be purchased by interested tenders upon submission of a written application to the above address given under paragraph 6 and upon of payment of nonrefundable fee of Euro 120.00 or equivalent amount in Tanzania Shillings through National Microfinance Bank upon receipt of reference number from TANESCO

11. All tenders must be accompanied by a tender security in form bank guarantee from reputable bank of amount equal to –

• Lot 1 70,000 EUR
• LOT 2 100,000 EUR
• LOT 3 60,000 EUR
• LOT 4 90,000 EUR

12. Late tenders portion of tenders, tenders not received and tenders not opened at the tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances
