Invitation for Bids
This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project which appeared in Tanzania Procurement Journal Newspaper Issue No1821-6021 Vol Xi -No.32 dated 7th Aug,2018
The Government of Tanzania has set aside funds for the operation of the institute of Social Work during the financial year 2018/2019. It Is intended that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used to cover eligible payment under the contract for the Procurement of Library Books. The Institute of Social Work now invites sealed bids from eligible National suppliers of Library Books.
Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding procedures specified in the Public Procurement Act, 2011 (Goods, Works, Non-Consultant Services and Disposal of Public Assets by Tender) Regulations, 2013 Government 1 Notice No. 446 and Public Procurement (amended) Regulations, GN No.333 of 2016 and is open to all Bidders as defined in the Regulations. & 1
Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the Bidding Documents at the office of the Secretary, Institutes’ Tender Board, Junction of Ali Hassan Mwinyi/Shekilango Roads, PO Box 3375 Dar es Salaam from 8.00 am to 3. 30 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays.
A complete set of Bidding Document(s)’ In English language and additional sets may be purchased by interested Bidders ‘3 on the submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 5 above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of_ Tanzania shillings One Hundred Thousand (Tsh 100, 000.00). Payment should be either by Cash, 4 Banker’s Draft, or Banker’ s Cheque, payable to Rector, Institute of Social Work.
All bids must be accompanied with a bid securing declaration in the format provided in the bidding documents.
All bids in one original plus two copies, properly tilled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes marked “TENDER NO. PA/055/2018-19/HQ/G/12 FOR THE PROCUREMENT OF LIBRARY BOOKS NOT TO BE OPENED UNTIL Thursday, 23th May. 2019 AT 1 1.00 HOURS LOCAL TIME” must be delivered to the address below at or before 11.00 hours Thursday. 23th May, 2019. Bids will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Bidders’ representatives who choose to attend in the opening at the Institutes Conference Room. Late bids, portion of bids, electronic bids, bids not received, and not opened and not read out In public at the Bid opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation Irrespective of the circumstances.
