Invitation for Tender
The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has set aside funds for the operation of the Kigamboni Municipal Council during the financial year 2019/2020. It is intended that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used to cover eligible payment under the contract for the Proposed Construction of Kibada Modern Market To Be Built On Plot No. 1 72, Block”18” Kibada Area, Kigamboni Municipality In Dar Es Salaam.
The Kigamboni Municipal Council now invites sealed Tenders from eligible National contractors registered in CLASS I for carrying out the Proposed Construction of Kibada Modern Market To Be Built On Plot No. 172, Block”‘18″ Kibada Area, Kigamboni Municipality In Dar Es Salaam.
Tendering will be conducted through the National Competitive Tendering procedures specihed in the Public Procurement Regulations, Government Notice No.446 of 2013 and is open to all Tenderers as defined in the Regulations unless otherwise stated in the Tender Data Sheet.
Interested eligible Tenderers may obtain further information from and inspect the Tender Documents at the office of the Secretary of the Tender Board Kigamboni Municipal Council, P.O Box 36009 Dar es Salaam from 8.00am to 03.30pm Local hours on Monday to Friday except on public holidays.
A complete set of Tender Document (5) in English and additional sets may be purchased by interested Tenderers on the submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 5 above and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of Tshs. 300,000/= (Tanzanian Shillings three hundred thousand only). Payment should either be by Cash Deposit, Banker’s Draft, or Banker’s Cheque, payable to Municipal Director, Kigamboni Municipal Council.
All Tenders must be accompanied with a Tender security in an acceptable form in the amount of TZS. ”400,000,000.00 (Tanzania Shilling Four Hundred Million Only).
All Tenders in one original plus three (3) copies properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes must be delivered to the address Tender Board Secretary, Procurement Management Unit, Mjimwema. Kigamboni Municipal Council, P.O Box 36009 Dar es Salaam at or before 10.00am loacal time on Tuesday, 07th May, 2019. Tenders will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Tenderers’ representatives who choose to attend in the opening at the Kigamboni Municipal Council. Procurement Management Unit at Mjimwema P.O Box 36009 Dar es Salaam.
Late Tenders, portion of Tenders, electronic Tenders, Tenders not received, Tenders not opened at the Tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
