Invitation for Tenders Date: 2nd July 2019
This Invitation for Tenders follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project which appeared in Zanzibar Leo issue no. 5618 dated 31 January 2019.
Zanzibar Insurance Corporation (ZIC) has set aside funds for the operation during the financial year 2019. It is intended that part of the proceeds will be used to cover eligible payments under the contract for the proposed Construction Works for Office Block For Zanzibar Insurance Corporation at Chake Chake Pemba.
The Zanzibar insurance Corporation (ZIC) now invites sealed tenders from eligible Building Contractors registered or capable of being registered in Class Three and above for carrying out the Proposed Construction Works for Office Block For Zanzibar Insurance Corporation at Chake Chake Pemba.
Tendering will be conducted through the National Competitive Tendering procedures specified in the Public Procurement (Goods, Works and Disposal of Public Assets by Tender) section 66(1) and Is open to all Tenderers as defined In the Regulations.
Interested eligible Tenderers may obtain further information from and inspect the Tendering Documents at the office of the Secretary of The Tender board, Zanzibar Insurance Corporation, Mpirani, P.o.Box 432, Room No. 2029, Opposite Madema Police Station Zanzibar from 8.30 am to 4.00pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays.
A complete set of Tendering Document(s) in English language and additional sets may be purchased by interested Tenderers on the submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 5 above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of TZS 300, 000. 00 (Tanzania Shillings Three Hundred Thousand Only). Payment should be made through The People’s Bank of Zanzibar Limited, Account number 040 3954 000 anal Account name: Zanzibar Insurance Corporation.
All Tenders must be accompanied by a Tender security in an acceptable form in the amount of T25 100,000,000 (Tanzania Shillings One Hundred Million Only). Tender security shall be a Bank Guarantee in the format provided under Section X of the Tendering from a reputable Bank.
All tenders in one original plus three copies, properly f1lled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes must be delivered to the address given under paragraph 5 above at or before 10:00 am on 31st July, 2019. Tenders will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Tenderers’ representatives who choose to attend in the opening at the Zanzibar Insurance Corporation Office, Mpirani, Conference Room no: 209.
Late tenders, portion of tenders, electronic tenders, and tenders not received, tenders not opened at the tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
