Assignment Title: Provision of Consultancy Services for Conducting Hydrogeological and Geophysical Investigation for Borehole Sitting and Supervision of Drilling Activities and Construction of Water Supply System in Mgeta and Mvuha Micro-Catchments in Morogoro.

Assignment Title: Consulting Services for Undertaking Need and Condition Assessments and design of river infrastructures (Dams, weirs, intakes and Check dams) and River Trainings and Construction Supervision in Wami/Ruvu Basin.
The Wami/Ruvu Basin Water Board has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Water Sector Support Project Phase II (WSSP II), and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services.
The consulting services (“the Services”) include Conducting Hydrogeological and Geophysical Investigation for Borehole Sitting and Supervision of Drilling Activities and Construction of Water Supply System, estimated level of effort (professional staff-months), the assignment is expected to be implemented in total of eight months period: 3 months for design and 5 months for supervision, scheduled to start in September, 2021.

The Wami/Ruvu Basin Water Board now invites eligible consulting firms (“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services by submitting consultant’s profile, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff. Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications. The Qualifications and Experience of Key Experts shall not be included in the shortlisting criteria. Key Experts will not be evaluated at the shortlisting stage.
The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to Section III, paragraphs, 3 .14, 3 .16, and 3 .17 of the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” July 2016 (as per edited November, 2020 “Procurement Regulations”), setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest. In addition, please refer to the following specific information on conflict of interest related to this assignment:
Consultants may associate with other firms to enhance their qualifications, but should indicate clearly whether the association is in the form of a joint venture and/or a sub-consultancy. In the case of a joint venture, all the partners in the joint venture shall be jointly and severally liable for the entire contract, if selected.
A Consultant will be selected in accordance with the Consultant Quality and Cost Selection method set out in the World Bank Procurement Regulations and Public Procurement Act No. 7 of 2011 and Regulations of 2013, with their related amendments.
