FOR
PROVISION OF CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR DETAILED DESIGN, TENDER DOCUMENTS, CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISION FOR THE INSTALLATION OF SOLAR LIGHTS SYSTEM FOR KILIMANI BOTANIC GARDEN 81 KIKWAJUNI FLAT IN ZANZIBAR
The Zanzibar Urban Municipal Council (ZUMC) has received a grant from the ”Engagement Global gGmbh Service agency community in one world ” via State Capital of Potsdam from Germany toward the Sustainable Neighborhood development to improve Community Services in Kikwajuni and Kilimani (Migombani) project and intends to apply part of the proceeds of the grant fund to payments under the contract for the Consultancy services for Installation of Solar Street lighting system for Kilimani Botanic garden and Kikwajuni Residential flates.
The Services required includes the Detailed design, Tender Documents and Supervision for the installation of Solar Street lighting System which includes but not limited to the following two main components :installation of 15 Nos of centralized Solar panel lights system (Garden lights) for Kilimani Botanic garden which extended within a total length of 673 m
- installation of 19 Nos of separate Solar panel Streetlights system for Kikwajuni Flats which extended within a total length of 616 m
- Installation of 19 Nos
The Kilimani Site is located at 2.5 km and Kikwajuni at 850m from stone town respectively, and both site in Zanzibar Town.
The Director, Urban Municipal Council (UMC) now invites eligible Firms to show their interest in providing the services. Interested Consulting Firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services by submitting the following information:
- Registration Certificates of Company Consultant’s firm profile
- Description of at least three similar assignment performed by the firm in the last eight years.
- Availability of appropriate skills among staff.
- Experience of the firm in similar condition.
- Financial soundness.
The Consultant firm Selection will be conducted through the selection based on consultant’s qualification (CQS) procedures as specified in the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Asset Act No.1 10f 2016 of the law of Zanzibar.
Consultants may associate with other firms in the form of a joint venture or a sub-consultancy to enhance their qualifications.
Interested Consultants may obtain further information on the assignment from the DIRECTOR, Urban Municipal Council Head Office, Bharmal Building, Darajani Street, Creek road Zanzibar, from 08:00 to 15:00 hour local time, from Monday to Friday inclusive, except on Public Holidays.
Expressions of Interest must be delivered in a written form to the address below (in person, or by mail, or by fax, or by email) by Tuesday 30th April 2019 on or before 14:00 hours local time and addressed to Director, Zanzibar Urban Municipal Council, P. O. Box 1288, Creek Road, Zanzibar and clearly marked “Consultancy services for the preparation of detailed design, tender documents, and construction supervision for the Installation of Solar panel street lighting system for Kilimani botanic garden and Kikwajuni flats in Zanzibar
Late Expressions of interest shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
The Expressions of Interest will be opened in public and in the presence of Consultants’ representatives or invitees who choose to attend at Conference Room, Urban Municipal Council (UMC) Head Office, Zanzibar, immediately thereafter the submission deadline.
