PROVISION OF CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR SUPERVISION OF ELECTRIFICATION OF RURAL HEALTH AND WATER FACILITIES TO PREVENT SPREAD OF INFECTIOUS DISEASES INCLUDING COVID-19

1. This invitation for Expression of Interest follows the General Procurement Notice which appeared in the Tanzania Electronic Procurement Portal Systems (TANePS) of 1st July 2021.
2. The United Republic of Tanzania has received a Grant from the European Union (EU) to finance Consultancy services for Supervision of Electrification of Rural Health and Water Facilities aimed at preventing spread of infectious diseases including COVID-19.
3. The Rural Energy Agency now invites eligible consulting firms to express their interests in providing the services which include Provision of Consultancy services for Supervision of Rural Electrification of Rural Health and Water Facilities to prevent spread of infectious diseases including COVID-19.
4. Interested eligible firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services by submitting consultant’s profile, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff. The required staff are the Team Leader, 3 Electrical engineers and One (1) Electrical Technician. Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.
5. A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the Public Procurement Act No. 7 of 2011 and the Public Procurement Regulations, 2013 – Government Notice No. 446 (hereinafter called Procurement Regulations) as amended in 2016.
6. Interested eligible consulting firms may obtain further information from the office of the Secretary, REA Tender Board, PSSSF House, Makole Road, P.O. 7. All Expressions of Interest (Eol) must be submitted online through TANePS in one (1) original, in PDF-format at or before 1000 hours on 2nd September 2021.
8. The Expressions of Interest will be opened online through the system of TANePS.
9. Late Expressions of Interest shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
