PROVISION OF ELECTRONIC BUS TICKETING SERVICES
INVITATION FOR TENDER
Date 11February 2020
- The Tanzania Bus Owners Association (TABOA) invited sealed tenders from the eligible providers of provision of electronic bus ticketing services which shall meet the requirements below
- the system must allow owners to manage buses, seat charts and route as per their dynamic requirements
- the system should be compliable and scalable with TRA-EFD requirements to enable EFDMS capture each bus ticket sale and validity with e-signature device or online EFD
- system must allow the operator to manage individual booking including cancelling of such booking
- the system should allow tickets to be booked by
a) operator employees on behalf of customers
b) operator agents on behalf of customers
c) directly by customers - The system should provide appropriate interfaces in various platforms for the user’s book seat. These may include USSD, web and smart applications on POS Device phones and computers
2. Tendering will be conducted though the National Competitive tendering procedures
3. Interested and eligible tenders may obtain further information from inspect tendering document at the office of the General Secretary, TABOA P.O. BOX 5789 DAR ES SALAAM at the Rubada Building ground floor room no 5 TABOA OFFICES or contact 0687788817 from 8:00 to 3:30 PM on Monday to Friday inclusive except on public holidays
4. A complete set of tendering document in English and additional sets may be purchased by interested tenders on the submission of written application to the address given under paragraph 6 below and upon payment of non-refundable fee of TZS Five hundred thousand only, payment should either be y cash or banker’s cheque payable to Tanzania buses owener’s association Akiba Bank Account Number A/C 11000811329
5. All tenders must be accompanied by tender securing declaration in the format provided in the tendering document
6. All tender in one original plus 2 copies properly
filled in and enclosed in plain envelope must be delivered to the address General Secretary TABOA P.O. BOX 5789 DSM at the Rubada Building Ground floor room no 5 TABOA OFFICES on or before 25th February 2020 at 10;00 Hour’s local time. Tenders will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of tender’s representatives who choose to attend in the opening at the RUBADA BUILDING OFFICE NO 5
7. Late tenders, portion tenders, electronic tenders not received, tenders not opened and not read out in the public tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances
