REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

Project: Resilient Natural Resource Management for Tourism and Growth Project. (REGROW)

Loan No. IDA 61430

Reference No. TZ-TANAPA-113093-CS-QCBS for Provision of Consultancy Services for Feasibility Study, Detailed Engineering Design and Preparation of Tender Documents for Rehabilitation of Airstrips to Gravel Standard for Ruaha and Mikumi National Parks.

The Government of United Republic of Tanzania has received financing from the World Bank towards the Cost of the Resilient Natural Resources Management for Tourism and Growth Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services.

The consulting services (”the services”) are expected to cover Feasibility Study, Detailed Engineering Design and Preparation of Tender Documents for Rehabilitation of Airstrips to Gravel Standard for Ruaha and Mikumi National Parks. The duration of the assignment is expected to be Six Months.

The Tanzania National Parks (TANAPA) now invites eligible consulting firms (”Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services. The shortlisting criteria are:

(i) Experience In Similar Assignments;

(ii) Experience In Similar Conditions; and

(iii) Availability of Appropriate Skills (Technical and Managerial) among permanent staff of the firm.

The attention of interested consultants is drawn to paragraph 1.9 of the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers, dated January 2011, revised July 2014. (”Consultants Guidelines”), setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflicts of interest.

Consultants may associate with other firms in the form of a joint venture or a sub-consultancy to enhance their qualifications.

A Consultant will be selected in accordance with Quality and Cost Based Selection (QCBS) method set out in the Consultant Guidelines.
