SNV Netherlands Development Organization is an international NGO with a trusted presence in Tanzania for more than 40 years. Currently SNV is working throughout mainland Tanzania in three main sectors of Agriculture; Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH); and Energy.
In support of the Government of Tanzania’s diligent efforts to limit economic impact potentials of COVID-19 experienced within Tanzania, the Green Economic Recovery Fund Results Based Financing Programme (GERF) will support the strengthening of consumer clean energy markets that have undergone pressures due to the global pandemic response. The GERF is funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) through Energising Development (EnDev) and implemented by SNV Tanzania.
The GERF will support pre-qualified firms with incremental financial incentives rewarded upon the verified proof of delivery of approved Pico-Solar PV sales to rural consumers in mainland Tanzania. For the period of 2020-2021, the GERF will open with €1,277,500.00 in results based financing (RBF) incentives available to the private sector to assist in the recovery of pico-PV solar and small solar home system consumer markets throughout Mainland Tanzania.
Prospective applicants will not be considered qualified unless in the judgment of SNV Tanzania they possess capability, experience, and qualified personnel to satisfactorily execute the contract for services.
