INVITATION FOR TENDERS
FOR
THE SUPPLY AND INSTALLATION OF THREE (3) UNITS 0F FIXED ELECTRONIC WHEEL LOAD WEIGHBRIDGE SCALES
TENDER No: AE/001/2018-19/HQ/G/99
This Invitation for Tenders follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this package which appeared in the Tanzania Procurement Journal from the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) and website: www.gpra.go.tz as well as the Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS) website www.tanroads.go.tz respectively.
The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has allocated funds for the operation of the Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS) during the financial year 2018/19. it is intended that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used to cover eligible payments under the contract for the supply and installation of three (3) units of fixed electronic wheel load Weighbridge Scales.
TANROADS now invites sealed tenders from eligible Supplier for the supply and installation of three (3) units of fixed electronic wheel load Weighbridge Scales as tabulated below:

The above items constitute ONE LOT and prospective Tenderers shall quote for all items and quantities in the respective Lot Tenderers not quoting for all items and quantities in a lot will be considered non-responsive and rejected during the evaluation process
Tendering will be conducted through the International Competitive Tendering (ICT) method as specified in the Procurement Regulations, 2013 Government Notice No. 446 as amended in 2016 and is open to all Tenderers as defined in the Regulations unless otherwise stated in the Tender Data Sheet (TDS).
Interested eligible Tenderers may obtain further information from and inspect the Tendering Documents at the office of the Secretary, TANROADS Headquarters Tender Board, 4‘h Floor, Airtel House, Ali Hassan Mwinyi/Kawawa Roads Junction, Dar es Salaam from 8200 hours to 16.30 hours local time, Mondays to Fridays inclusive, except on Public Holidays.
A complete set of Tendering Documents in English language and additional sets may be purchased by interested Tenderers on the submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 5 above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of TZS 100,000(Tanzania Shillings one hundred thousand only) or its equivalent in freely convertible currency, which has to be paid with reference to Government e-Payment Gateway System (GePG) Control Number to be issued by the Accounts Section at TANROADS Headquarters.
All tenders must be accompanied by a Tender Securing Declaration in the format provided in the Tendering Documents.
All tenders in one (1) original plus two (2) copies, properly filled in, and enclosed in plaln envelopes must be delivered to the Secretary, TANROADS Headquarters Tender Board, 4“ Floor, Airtel House, Ali Hassan Mwinyi/Kawawa Roads Junction, Dar es Salaam at or before 10:00 Hours local time on 30th August 2019. Tenders will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Tenderers’ representatives who choose to attend in the opening at the TANROADS Conference Room, 4th Floor, Airtel House, All Hassan Mwinyi/Kawawa Roads, Junction, Dar es Salaam.
A combined Sites visit and Pre-tender meeting will be held on 9th 12th and 15th August 2019 at the Regional Manager’s offices, TANROADS, Kilimanjaro, Njombe and Mwanza respectively. The site visit will commence at 09:00 am. on respective dates above.
Late Tenders, Portion of Tenders, Electronic Tenders, Tenders not received, Tenders not opened and not read out in public at the tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of whatever circumstances.
