Invitation for Tenders
1. This invitation follows a General Procurement Notice for this procurement that appeared in the Tanzania National e-Procurement System (TANePS) on 23rd July, 2019.
2. The Bank of Tanzania has set aside funds for its operations during the financial year 2019/2020. It is intended that part of the proceeds of the funds will be used to cover eligible payment under the contract for Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Turnstiles at Bank of Tanzania Head office.
3. The Bank of Tanzania now invites sealed tenders from eligible companies for Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Turnstiles at BOT Head office as described in the schedule requirements.
4. Tendering will be conducted through National Competitive Bidding procedures specified in the Public Procurement Regulations, 2013 Government Notice No. 446 and is open to all Tenderers as defined in the Regulations.
5. Interested eligible Tenderers may obtain further information from and inspect the Bidding Documents at the office of the Secretary, BoT Tender Board, 2nd Floor South Tower, at 2 Mirambo Street, Post code 11884 Dar es Salaam, Email: [email protected] , Tel: +255 22 2235195, Fax: +255 22 2234054 from 8.30 am to 12. 30 pm and from 2.30 pm to 4. 30 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays.
6. A complete set of Tendering Document(s) in English and additional sets may be purchased by interested Tenderers on the submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 5 above and upon payment ofa non-refundable fee of TZS 100,000.00. Payment should either be by Electronic Payment transfer (Account Name: Tender Application Fee, Account Number: 9944712601) or Banker’s Cheque, payable to Bank of Tanzania.
7. All Tenders must be accompanied by a Bid Securing Declaration in the format provided in the Bidding Documents.
8. All tenders in one original plus two copies of the original, properly filled in, and enclosed in plain sealed envelopes marked ”Tender for Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Turnstiles at BOT Head Office” must be delivered to the Secretary, BOT Tender Board, 2nd Floor South Tower, at 2 Mirambo Street, Post code 11884 Dar es Salaam at or before 11:00 hours on Tuesday 15th October, 2019. Bids will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Tenderers’ representatives who choose to attend in the tender opening ceremony at the Bank of Tanzania, Inner Conference room, 2nd 4 Floor South Tower, at 2 Mirambo Street, Post code 1 1884 Dar es Salaam.
9. Late Tenders, Portion of Tenders Electronic Tenders, Tenders not received, Tenders not opened and not read out In public at the tender opening ceremony shall not be 1 accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
