This invitation for Tenders follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project which appeared in the Daily News Newspapers dated 23rd July, 2018.
The Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited (TANESCO) has set aside funds for its operations during financial year 2018/2019 and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this funds to cover eligible payments under the contract for which this invitation is issued.
TANESCO now re-invites sealed tenders from LOCAL MANUFACTURES for Lot No. 4, 5, 6 & 7 and LOCAL DISTRIBUTORS for Lot No. 7. Local Manufacturers my tender for all lots.
Tendering will be conducted through the Restricted National Competitive Bidding (RNCB) procedures specified in the Public Procurement 4 Regulations, 2013 Government Notice No. 446 read together with Public Procurement Amendment Regulation, 2016 Government Notice No 333 and is restricted to only the LOCAL MANUFACTURERS and LOCAL DISTRIBUTORS defined in the Regulations.
The scope of supply will involve supply of Various Distribution Materials categorized in Four (4) Lots, bidders are free to bid for any complete lot or combination of lot(s) of their choice; For Lot No. 4, 5 & 6 Each Lot may be awarded to two suppliers who will be found the lowest evaluated bidders. Orders will be given at first to both successful suppliers, next orders will be given to the supplier who will complete the delivery of the previous order first. Contract shall be awarded to successful bidders whose bids will be found to be the lowest evaluated. ln-complete or partial bids submitted by the bidder will be rejected. ln-complete or partial Lots submitted by the bidder will be rejected.

Bidders having a running contract (contract in place) with TANESCO and fail to deliver will NOT be eligible to participate in this tender.
Interested Local Manufacturer/Distributor may obtain further information from and inspect the Tendering Documents at the office of the Secretary of the Delegated Tender Board Central office of the Procurement Management Unit located at second floor, TANESCO Central Zone Office Building, Dodoma DAR ES SALAAM Road -Dodoma, PO. Box 49, Dodoma. Telephone/fax (255) 26-2321632 fax +255 26-232174 from 09:00hrs to 16.00hrs on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays.
A complete set of Tendering Document(s) in English and additional sets may be purchased by interested Tenderers on the’ submission Of a written application to the address given under paragraph 7 above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of TZS. 100000-09 or equivalent Payment should either be by Cash, Banker’s Draft, or Banker’s Cheque, payable to TANESCO Ltd, PO. Box 49 Dodoma, Bidding documents may be dispatched by courier upon payment of the non-refundable fee. The Tenderer shall pay courier charges for posting the document. The purchaser shall resume no responsibility for late delivery of bidding documents couriered.
All tenders in ‘one original plus three (3) copies, properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes clearly marked TENDER No.PA/001/2018-19ICZN/Gl44-B 0F SUPPLY OF DISTRIBUTION MATERIALS FOR CENTRAL ZONE UNDER FRAMEWORK CONTRACT-LOT 4, 5, 6,& 7 NOT TO BE OPENED BEFORE 10:30 hours local time on 23rd May, 2019 must be delivered to the address: THE SECRETARY -DELEGATED TENDER BOARD-CENTRAL ZONE, TANESCO CENTRAL ZONE OFFICE, PO. BOX 49, DODOMA to reach him/her at second floor, on or before 23rd May, 2019 at 10.30 hours local time. Tenders will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Tenderers’ representatives who choose to attend in the opening at the Room No. 20 located at second floor, TANESCO Central 1 Zone Office Building, Dodoma located along Dar es Salaam Road R0. Box 49, Dodoma.
Late Tenders, Portion of Tenders, Portion of Lot, Electronic Tenders, Tenders not received, Tenders not opened and not read out in public at the tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances,
