The National Institute of Transport through the Government of Tanzania has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of East Africa Skills for Transformation and Regional Integration Project (EASTRIP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Supply of four Motor Vehicles for the Center of Excellence in Aviation and Transport Operations for this contract, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the World Bank’s Disbursement Guidelines for Investment Project Financing, except for those payments, which the contract provides to be made through a letter of credit.
The National Institute of Transport now invites sealed bids from eligible Bidders for Supply of Four Motor Vehicles for the Center of Excellence in Aviation and Transport Operations at the National Institute of Transport, Ubungo Mabibo, Dar es Salaam, within the delivery period of 120 days.
Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s ”Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” 1st July 2016 and revised November 2017′ Procurement Regulations” and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from the National Institute of Transport from Vaileth Leonard email: [email protected] and [email protected] and inspect the bidding document during office hours from 0800 to 1600 hours Monday to Friday inclusive except on public holidays at the address given below.
The bidding document written in English Language may be purchased by interested Bidders upon the submission of a written application letter to RECTOR, THE NANONAL INSTITUTE OF TRANSPORT, P. O. Box 705, Mabibo Road, Ubungo Light Industrial Area in Ubungo Municipality, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of USD 50 or its equivalent in Tanzania shillings. The method of payment will be done through Government Electronic Payment Gateway (GePG) using the control number, in which the bidder should ask for control number through the following email address: [email protected] and [email protected].
Bids must submitted in one original and two copies of the documents, properly filled in, enclosed in plain envelopes and must be delivered to the RECTOR,THE NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TRANSPORT, ATTENTION:VAILETH LEONARD PAULO, Project Procurement office , Office: Accounts Building Block No.5, First floor, Office of Project Procurement Officer of the Center of Excellence in Aviation and Transport Operations (CoEATO), EASTRIP project, Mabibo Road, Ubungo Light Industrial Area in Ubungo Municipality, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania at or before 11.00 am on 23rd December 2019. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the National Institute of Transport-Boardroom, Block No. 8 in Research and Publication Building at 11.00 am on 23rd December 2019.
All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security Declaration in the Format provided in the form of Request for Bids (RFB). ”Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as Included in the bidding document
