The Arusha Technical College through the Government of Tanzania has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of East Africa for Transformation and Regional Integration Project (EASTRIP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Supply of One Passengers Bus (50-55 SEATS) for Kikuletwa Renewable Energy Training and Research Centre for this contract, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the World Bank’s Disbursement Guidelines for Investment Project Financing, except for those payments, which the contract provides to be made through a letter of credit.

The Arusha Technical College through Kikuletwa Renewable Energy Training and Research Centre now invites sealed bids from eligible Bidders within the delivery period of 90 -120 days for Supply of One Passengers Bus, Fifty to Fifty-five 50 – 55 passengers’ seats

3.    Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s ‘Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers’1st July 2016 and revised November 2017 (‘Procurement Regulations’) and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

4.    Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from the Arusha Technical College, Att: Tender board Secretary, email: [email protected] inspect the bidding document during office hours from 0800 to 1600 Monday to Friday inclusive except on public holidays at the address given below.

5.   The bidding document written in English Language may be purchased by interested Bidders upon the submission of a written application to RECTOR, ARUSHA TECHNICAL COLLEGE, P. O. Box 296, Moshi- Nairobi Road, Arusha, Tanzania and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of TZS 100,000. The method of payment will be done through Government Electronic Payment Gateway (GePG) using the control number, in which the bidder should ask for control number through the following email address: [email protected] or Phone no. +255 27 29 70 056

6.    Bids must submit one original and two copies of the documents, properly filled in, enclosed in plain sealed envelopes and must be delivered to the RECTOR, ARUSHA TECHNICAL COLLEGE, ATTENTION: Tender board Secretary, Office: Administration Building Room No.104, First floor, Arusha, Tanzania at or before 11.00 am 22nd January, 2021. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the Arusha Technical College-Board Room, Room No.105 at 11.00am on 22nd January, 2021.

7.    All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security Declaration in the Format provided in the form of Request for Bids (RFB).

8.    ‘Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.’
