Invitation for Tenders

1. This Invitation for Tenders (IFT) follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) which appeared on 1st July, 2021.
2. The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has set aside funds for the operation of the Agricultural Seed Agency (ASA) during the financial year 2021-2022. It & intended that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used to cover eligible Payment under the contract for the Supply of Sunflower Seeds.
3. The Agricultural Seed Agency (ASA) now invites sealed Tenders from eligible Suppliers for carrying out the Supply of Sunflower Seeds.
4. Tendering will be conducted through the International Tendering method procedures specified in the Public Procurement Regulations and is open to all Tenderers as defined in the Regulations.
5. Interested eligible Tenderers may obtain further information from and inspect the Tendering Documents at the office of the Secretary to the Tender Board, Agricultural Seed Agency (ASA), P. 0. BOX 364, Plot No. 50 Magodoro Street, Msamvu Morogoro from 07:30am to 03:30pm on Monday to Friday inclusive except on public holidays.
6. A complete set of Tendering Documents in English and additional sets may be Purchased by interested Tenderers on the submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 5 above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of TZS 200,000. Payment should be through GePG.
7. All Tenders must be accompanied by a Tender Security in an acceptable form in the amount of TZS 200,000,000 (Two Hundred Million Only).
8. All Tenders in one original plus two copies, property filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes must be delivered to the Secretary to the Tender Board, Agricultural Seed Agency (ASA), P. 0. BOX 364, Plot No. 50 Magodoro Street, Msamvu Morogoro at on before 12:00 local time on Monday, 9th August, 2021. Tenders will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Tenderers’ representatives who choose to attend in the opening at the Agricultural Seed Agency (ASA), P. 0. BOX 364, Plot No. 50 Magodoro Street, Msamvu Morogoro.
9. Late Tenders, portion of Tenders, electronic Tenders, Tenders not received, Tenders not opened, and not read out in public at the Tender open ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
