The Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited (TANESCO) has set aside funds for its operations during financial year 201 920 and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of these funds to cover eligible payments under the contract for which this invitation is issued.
TANESCO now invites sealed tenders from eligible contractors for Supply, Testing and Commissioning of Double Girder Gantry Crane (Lot 1) and Heavy Duty Lift at Newly Constructed Ubungo Electrical Workshop (Lot 2).
Tendering will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding as specified in the Procurement Regulations, 2013 Government Notice No.446 under Public Procurement Act No. 7 of 2011 as amended in 2016.
Interested eligible Tenderers may obtain further information and inspect the Tendering Documents at the office of the Secretary of the Tender Board, TANESCO, Ground Floor, Room Number 6. 04, Umeme Park Building, Ubungo Area Morogoro Road, PO Box 9024 Dar Es Salaam, Telephone No. +255 222 210 264; 210 267 from 09:00hrs to 16:00hrs on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays.
A complete set of Tendering Document(s) in English and additional sets may be purchased by interested Tenderers on the submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 4 above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of TZS 100,000.00 (VAT Inclusive) through National Microfinance Bank (NMB) upon receipt of reference number from TANESCO.
Tenderers are allowed to quote for all two lots i.e Lot 1 and 2. All Tenders must be accompanied by a Tender Security amounting to TZS 5,000,000.00 in the form of Bank Guarantee from a reputable local commercial bank in the format provided in Section IX of the Tender document.
All tenders in one original plus three (3) copies, properly filled in, and enclosed in plain sealed envelopes must be delivered to the address Secretary Tender Board, TANESCO, Ground Floor, Room Number 6.04, Umeme Park Building, Ubungo Area Morogoro Road, PO Box 9024 Dar Es Salaam, Telephone No. +255 222 210 264; 210 267, the envelopes clearly marked ”TENDER No. PA/001/2018-19/HQ/G/94 FOR SUPPLY, INSTALLATION, TESTING AND COMMISSIONING OF DOUBLE GIRDER GANTRY CRANE AND HEAVY DUTY LIFT AT NEWLY CONSTRUCTED UBUNGO ELECTRICAL WORKSHOP Lot 1 8:2. NOT TO BE OPENED LATER THAN10:30 AM Hours on Friday 26th July, 2019. Tenders will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Tenderers’ representatives who choose to attend in the opening at the Conference Room No. G 06, Located at Ground Floor TANESCO, Umeme Park Building Ubungo Area, Morogoro Road, Dar es Salaam.
Late Tenders, portion of Tenders, electronic Tenders, Tenders not received and Tenders not opened at the Tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
