SUPPLYING OF EQUIPMENTS FOR LEATHER AND TEXTILE LABORATORY
Date: 5th August, 2021.
1. This Invitation for Tenders follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project which appeared in Issue No6298. Dated 29th Thursday, 2021.
2. The Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar has set aside funds for the operation of the ZANZIBAR BUREAU OF STANDARDS (ZBS) during the financial year 2021-2022. It is intended that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used to cover eligible payments under the contract for the Supplying of Equipment for leather and textile Laboratory
3. The Zanzibar Bureau of Standards (ZBS) now invites sealed tenders from eligible Open International Competitive Bidders Suppliers Supplying of Equipment for leather and textile Laboratory
4. Tendering will be conducted through the Open International Competitive Bidder procedures specified in the Public Procurement (Goods, Works and Disposal of Public Assets by Tender) section 66(1) and is open to eligible Tenderers as defined in the Regulations.
5. Interested eligible Tenderers may obtain further information from and inspect the Tendering Documents at the office of the Zanzibar Bureau of Standards located at AMAAN-lndustrial Park, Urban, P.O. Box 1136, ZANZIBAR-TANZANIA, Tel +222 24 2232225 Room No. 13 from 9:00am to 15:30pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays.
6. A complete set of Tendering Document(s) in English Language and additional sets may be purchased by interested Tenderers on the submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 5 above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of TZS One hundred thousand (100,000). Payment should either be by Electronic Payment System or Banker’s Cheque, payable to ZANZIBAR BUREAU OF STANDARDS.
7. All Tenders must be accompanied by a Tender security TZS Ten million 10,000,000 in an acceptable form in the amount of Banker’s cheque or Bank guarantee.
8. All tenders in one original plus two copy, properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes must be delivered to the address below Zanzibar Bureau of Standards at AMAAN INDUSTRIAL PARK, P.O.BOX 1136, ZANZIBAR at or before 10 :00hrs at 13th Monday September, 2021. Tenders will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Tenderers’ representatives who choose to attend in the opening at the Zanzibar Bureau of Standards at Conference room no. 6.
9. Late Tenders, Portion of Tenders, Electronic Tenders, Tenders not received, Tenders not opened and not read out in public at the tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
