Invitation of Bids
for
Tender No. PA/082/2017-18/HQ/W/02
for the Proposed Design and Construction of Managers Houses on Plot No. 55-3 Kaunda Street in Mbeya City, Tanzania.
1.This invitation for tenders follows the General Procurement Notice which appeared in Daily News newspapers dated 4TH July, 2017
2. The Bank of Tanzania has set aside funds for the Construction Projects during the financial year 2018/2019. It is intended that part of the fund will be used to cover eligible payments under the contract for the Proposed Design and Construction of Managers Houses on Plot No. 55-3 Kaunda Street in Mbeya City, Tanzania.
3. The Bank of Tanzania now invites sealed bids from eligible Registered Building contractors in Class Two (2) and above for the Proposed Design and Construction of Managers Houses on Plot No. ‘3 Kaunda Street in Mbeya City, Tanzania.
4. Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Bidding procedures specified in the Public Procurement Act No. 07 of 2011 and its Amendments of 2016 and Regulations of 2013 (as amended 2016) and is open to all eligible Building Contractors.
5. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the Bidding Documents at the office of the Secretary of the Tender Board, Bank of Tanzania, 2 Mirambo Street, 1 1884 Dar es Salaam, (Physical office location) from 9:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Mondays to Fridays except on public holidays.
6. A complete set of Bidding Document(s) In English and additional sets may be purchased by interested Bidders on submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 5 and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of TZS 1 00,000. Payment should either be by Electronic Payment Transfer (Account Name: Tend” Application Fee, Account Number: 9944712601) or Banker‘s Cheque, payable to Bank of Tanzania.
7. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Securing Declaration in the format provided in the bidding documents. This shall be enclosed with the Technical Submission.
8. All bids in one original plus two copies. properly filled in, and enclosed in plain separate inner Technical Proposal and Financial Proposal envelopes properly marked ‘original’ and ‘copies’ as appropriate, sealed in one plain outer envelope, clearly marked “Tender No. PN082/2017-18/HQMI02 for the Proposed Design And Construction of Managers Houses on Plot No. 55-3 Kaunda Street in Mbeya City, Tanzania” must be delivered to the following address: Secretary of the Tender Board, Bank of Tanzania, 2 Mirambo Street 11884, no. Box 2939 Dar es Salaam at 0: before 11:00 am Local Time on Tuesday 15th October, 2019 .
9. Bids will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Bidders‘ representatives who choose to attend the opening ceremony at the Bank of Tanzania, Prospective Banking Museum. 2 Mirambo Street. 11884 Dar es salaam.
10. Late bids. portion of bids. electronic bids, not received, bids not opened at the bid opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
