Invitation for Tenders
1.This Invitation for Tenders follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) f0} this Project which appeared in the PPRA Tender Portal on 30th August, 2019.
2. The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has set aside funds for the Operation of the Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited during the financial year 2019-20. It is intended that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used to cover eligible payment under the contract for Various Constructions Works at Kidatu and Mtera Hydro Power Plant Frameworks-Lot 1&2.
3. The Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited now invites sealed Tenders from eligible contractors registered or capable of being registered in any Class of contractors for carrying out Various Constructions Works at Kidatu and Mtera Hydro Power Plant Frameworks-Lot 1 &2.
4. Tendering will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) specified in the Public Procurement Regulations, Government Notice No.446 of 201 3 and is open to all Tenderers as defined in the Regulations unless otherwise stated in the Tender Data Sheet.
5. Interested eligible Tenderers may obtain further information from and inspect the Tendering Documents at the office of the Secretary of the Delegated Zonal Tender Board-Central Zone located at Room No. 20, 2nd Floor TANESCO Building, Jamaat Street along Dar es Salaam Road -Dodoma, PO. Box 49, Dodoma. Telephone/fax (255) 26-2321632 fax +255 26-232174 from 09:00 hrs to 16.00 hrs on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays.

7. Tenderers on the submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 5 above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Tshs. 100,000.00. Payment should either be by Cash, Banker’s Draft, or Banker’s Cheque, payable to TANESCO Ltd.
8. The Tenderers, at their own responsibility and risk, MUST visit and examine the site on which Work (5) are to be done and obtain all information that may be necessary for preparing the tender and entering into a Contract for executing the work (5). The costs of visiting the Site shall be at the Tenderer’s own expense. documents unless otherwise stated in the Tender Data Sheet.
9. All Tenders must be accompanied by a Tender securing declaration in the format provided in the Tendering
10. All Tenders in (1) one original plus 2 (two) copies, properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes must be delivered to the address The Secretary -Delegated Zonal Tender Board-Central Zone, TANESCO Central Zone Office, P.O. Box 49, Dodoma to reach him/her at Room No. 20, 2nd floor on or before Wednesday 11th December, 2019 at 10:30hrs Local hours. Tenders will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Tenderers’ representatives who choose to attend in the opening at the Zonal Procurement Specialist Office located at Room No. 20, 2nd Floor, TANESCO Building, Jamaat Street along Dar es Salaam Road-Dodoma.
11. Late Tenders portion of Tenders, electronic Tenders, Tenders not received, Tenders not opened at the Tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
