1.0 Background
WaterAid Tanzania Country Programme is part of WaterAid, which is an_ International
Non-Governmental Organization (INGO) with its head office in London, UK; dedicated to the provision of safe water, sanitation and hygiene education to the world’s poorest people. WaterAid Tanzania collaborates with the Government of Tanzania (GOT) at three levels: Local Government Authorities (LGA), Regional and Central Government and works in partnership with local organizations to set up sustainable Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Interventions/ projects using appropriate technology that can be managed by the cornmunities themselves.
WaterAid has had its operations in Tanzania since 1983 under the name “WaterAid Tanzania‘ which is registered as Non-Governmental Organization in The Republic of Tanzania (NO.SO.7557). WaterAid
Tanzania operates as a Country Programme and functional office of WaterAid UK; within East African Region.
The head office is in Dar es Salaam, Rufiji Street, Plot No. 1469, Masaki Area within Kinondoni District.
1. The Vendor
The vendor shall be a company and legally registered to operate in Tanzania with a valid business and professional license. The vendor shall be a well-established, reputable, and experienced in one of the two (Power back systems or Digital phone system or both) work in Tanzania, with profound experience of Power back systems or Digital phone system installation.
2. Scope of work
2.1. The prerequisite
- The vendors will be required to do a preliminary survey of our premises and get a full picture of our requirements prior to submission of the proposal.
- Prepare and submit the tender
2.2. Outputs
The following outputs among others are expected at the end of the installation exercise
A working power back up to support IT equipment for at least 8 hours after the power outage
- A digital PABX phone system that supports MS teams and video conferencing
3.0 Additional supplies
- Meraki Cisco switch MX84
- Switch – ubiquity us-24 (24 Port)

The Opening will be on 29th November 2021 at 11:00am at WaterAid Country Office.
Note: WaterAid has a Mandatory Operating Procedure (MOP) and therefore for those who will visit our office for inspection, submission or tender opening will not be allowed to enter office premises without properly wash their hand and wearing masks
