1 About NAD Zanzibar
The Norwegian Association of Disabled (NAD) is a rights-based advocacy organization of persons with disabilities. Our vision is a society for all, where people with disabilities have the same opportunity as other people and can live according to their own wishes, abilities, and interests. We have our head office in Oslo – Norway and branches in Zambia, Uganda, and Zanzibar
In 2022, we started our direct operations in Zanzibar and were registered as a branch of foreign society by the Registrar of Societies under the Act no 6 of 1995. In addition to the current partnership with MECP-Zanzibar in the areas of Human Rights Advocacy (HRA) and Inclusive Education (1E), NAD – Zanzibar has initiated another project in the inclusive Economic Employment Program (EEP). NAD Zanzibar coordinates the KIJALUBA iSAVE Zanzibar Project which is implemented as a partnership between TAMWA and SHIJUWAZA
NAD – Zanzibar receives its funding from the NAD – Head Office – Oslo and is treated as a subgrantee of the Head Offices. The main donor to NAD is NORAD.
2 Task
NAD – Zanzibar wishes to establish a prequalified list of suppliers and service providers who will be readily available to provide quality goods and services at reasonable prices on demand. The selected businesses will be the first to be called upon to provide their quotations during the procurement process. For the repetitive supplies and services, NAD – Zanzibar will get into a service agreement with the preferred businesses in the list to provide goods and services on certain agreeable terms.
NAD – Zanzibar wants to do business with trustworthy business entities that have a legal presence in the country and are fully compliant with all business regulations of the country.
3 Scope of Work
NAD – Zanzibar invites the business entities for the following goods and services to apply for the prequalification positions for the period of 2023 – 2024.
4 Application
Interested applicants are requested to submit their applications including contact details on or before the close of business Friday, 27th January 2023 to the Procurement Committee of NAD – Zanzibar.
The application should specify the business entity details such as VAT registration, TIN No., Brief company profile, copy of Certificate of Incorporation, specified category of service/product dealt in, list of previous customers and referees, banker’s details, and functional bank numbers, and declaration of conflict of interest.
