Backgroud
Tanzania near shore marine waters and coastal habitats of Kibiti, Mafia, Kilwa, Kigamboni and Mtwara Rural districts form part of an important East Africa priority seascapes are that is considered amongst the richest and most important marine resources in the region. The area includes Songosongo archipelo, Mafia Island and the Rufiji delta. The project area concerned is approx. over 9,000 km2 in size and embraces more than 69 coastal villages the includes the largest contiguous block mangrove forest as well as important to sea turtle nesting sites and the only remaining dogong refuge in Tanzania
Project
In 2019 WWF Tanzania secured funds to implement the Kigali cooling efficiency project (K-ECP) which aims at the enabling communities of artisanal fishers to access clean and efficient cooling facilities to ensure safe food and production, storage, use and transport
SUPPLY
With above background WWF Tanzania is inviting interested manufacturer of ice making machines, to supply machine with capacity of 1,500 kgs per 24 hours which also use environmentally friendly technologies, low global warming potential and zero ozone layer depletion in order to comply with the K-ECP resolution. The machines can be 1, 2 or 4 pieces as long as they attain in minimum amount of ice 1500 kgs per 24 hours with low energy consumption more specification are available on request( a summary specification chart may be requested through the contacts highlighted below)
IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS
The manufacturer/supplier must have technicians/service provider in Tanzania or within East African Countries for easy contact on installation suppliers and other after sale services
