INVITATION FOR TENDER

Diocese of Central Tanganyika (OCT) Mvumi Hospital (DOH) in cooperation with SOL and CBM have set and funded the three years project titled “Prevention of Avoidable Blindness in Central Tanzania ” starting on 01.12 .2020 and ending on 31.12 .2023 with the goal of contributing to the improvement of the ophthalmic heath care of the population in Dodoma by ensuring persons with visual impairments in Dodoma region make use of improved ophthalmic services.
OCT Mvumi Hospital intends to apply parts of its donor fund for purchase of medical equipment, medicines and medical consumables supplies, diagnostics equipment and installation of patient management system from the eligible suppliers/ service providers. OCT Mvumi hospital now is hereby inviting competitively sealed tenders from eligible Suppliers/Service providers to supply goods and services on the following areas:
1. SUPPLY OF MEDICAL EQUIPMENT (SPECIFICALLY OPHTHALMIC CLINICAL EQUIPMENTS)
2. SUPPLY OF MEDICINES AND MEDICAL CONSUMABLES SUPPLIES
3. SUPPLY OF DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT
4. SUPPLY, INSTALLATION, TRAINING OF PATIENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Interested eligible Tenderers may obtain further information from, and request tender documents -from OCT Mvumi Hospital-Eye Department by sending email to [email protected] before deadline. A non-refundable application fee of TZS 100,000.00/= (Tanzanian shillings One hundred thousand only) must be deposited to the below bank details. The pay-in ·slip should be emailed to the above email address or physically handed-over during collection of tender documents. All eligible bidders who paid and submitted pay-in slip will collect tendering documents from OCT Mvumi Hospital-Eye Department offices.

A complete set of Tender Documents in English and additional sets may be requested and collected from DCT Mvumi Hospital-Eye Department. Tender documents MUST be quoted and submitted in Tanzanian shillings, filled in the provided templates, and all costs for any resulting contract will be in the same currency. All bids/proposals and/or modifications thereof must be valid for a period of not less than 90 days from the closing date and submitted either physically at OCT Mvumi Hospital or through the email [email protected] before the deadline which is 19th August 2021 at 23:59hrs.
All tenders in one original plus two copies properly filled in and enclosed in plain envelopes properly written the name of tender and address with the word “DO NOT OPEN BEFORE” mentioned time of deadline and must be addressed and delivered to: THE HEAD OF DEPARMENT, OCT MVUMI HOSPITAL-EYE DEPARTMENT, P O. BOX 02, MVUMI-DODOMA.
The tenderer may choose to apply one or all services advertised above. Tenders will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of tenderers representative who choose to attend in the opening session at OCT Mvumi Hospital Conference Hall on 20th August 2021 at 10:00am. Late tenders, portion of tenders, electronic tenders, and tenders not received, not opened, not read out publicly at tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of circumstances
