The Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) was established by the Parliament Act No. 11 of 1995 and commenced operations on July 1, 1996. In carrying out its duties, TRA is governed by law and is responsible for the honest collection of various government taxes. TRA is implementing its sixth work plan (CP6: 2022/23 – 2026/27) with the vision of becoming a ‘Reliable Revenue Institution for Social and Economic Development’ and the mission of ‘Facilitating and Strengthening Voluntary Tax Payment for Sustainable Development.’

TRA wishes to inform all job applicants who applied between May 27, 2023, and June 9, 2023, that interviews are expected to be conducted in various stages starting on September 24, 2023, eventually leading to job offers for successful candidates. Those who are called for interviews should follow the instructions below:

  1. Interviews will be conducted as shown on the schedule, specifying the day, time, and venue.
  2. Every interviewee must have identification for verification.
  3. Accepted forms of ID include: National ID, Resident ID, Voter ID, Driving License, or Passport.
  4. Interviewees are required to bring their ORIGINAL CERTIFICATES, from Birth Certificate, O-Level, A-Level, Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Degree, and so on, depending on the qualifications of the applicant.
  5. Interviewees presenting Testimonials, Provisional Results, Statement of Results, or results slips for O-Level and A-Level WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AND WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO CONTINUE WITH THE INTERVIEW.
  6. Every interviewee will be responsible for their own Food, Transport, and Accommodation.
  7. Every interviewee should adhere to the date, time, and place designated for the interview.
  8. For applicants who studied outside Tanzania, ensure that your certificates have been verified and approved by the relevant authorities (like TCU, NACTE, or NECTA).
  9. Job applicants whose names did not appear in this announcement did not meet the initial criteria. Therefore, do not hesitate to reapply when job opportunities are advertised, and pay attention to the specific requirements of each announcement.
  10. For professionals required to be registered with their respective Boards, come with your original registration certificates and work licenses.
  11. All interviewees called for interviews should ensure they log into their accounts and copy their interview numbers, as these numbers will not be provided on the day of the interview.
  12. Interviewees are not allowed to bring phones, watches, or any electronic devices into the interview area.
