Call For Proposal
MOBILIZE PRIVATE SECTOR PARTICIPATION IN THE EXPO 2020 – DUBAI,)
ON THE BASIS OF REVENUE AND COST SHARING PARTNERSHIP

Tanzania Trade Development Authority (TanTrade) is a statutory Institution established under Act No. 4 of 2009 of the laws of Tanzania. It is vested with regulatory, executive, advisory and consultative powers of developing and promoting trade in and outside Tanzania. Thus TanTrade activities are designed to promote a strong domestic trading culture and create sustainable linkages to Foreign Trade.
1. The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has signed an agreement to enable Tanzaniato participate in the forthcoming Expo 2020 – Dubai scheduled to be held from 20th October 2020 – 19th April 2021 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Expo2020 is expected to attract a number of Exhibitors and more than 25 million Visitors from all parts of the World. Expo is an excellent platform for promoting National opportunities such as investment and trade. It is also an excellent platform for individual Organizations to promote their agendas in the areas of Partnerships, Markets, Technological transfers and expansion of Businesses.
2. Tanzania Trade Development Authority (TanTrade) is coordinating Tanzanian participation in the Expo 2020 – Dubai scheduled to commence on 20th October 2020 and shall run for a period of six months ending 19th April 2021. The main participation focus is promoting Tanzania as Africa’s Trade and Investment Hub while creating sustainable linkages for Tanzanian Goods and Services in Global Markets.
3. Now TanTrade is looking for eligible, dynamic and creative Consulting Firms in Marketing and Events Management field of specialization to develop the Proposal for Mobilization of Private Sector Participation in the Expo 2020-Dubai on the basis of Revenue and Cost sharing Partnership.
4. Interested Consulting Firms must provide information demonstrating that they are eligible and possess the required qualifications to perform the assignment supported by relevant documentation. Furthermore the Consulting Firms are expected to provide but not limited to the following:
Documents evidencing their business eligibility such as:
- Certificate of Registration/Incorporation,
- Valid Business License,
- VAT and TIN Certificates,
- Valid Business License
- VAT and TIN Certificates, Business Profile Specific experience in Proposal development and implementation of similar or related Project(s).
5. A due diligence will be conducted to the interested Consulting Firms to confirm their business eligibility.
6. A Consulting Firm must provide a brief description of the understanding of the Concept, in relation to section 1,2&3 above, and advice on its documentation format.
7. The Firm shall provide experience of organizing, managing or participating in various Trade missions and Exhibitions including Expos of similar nature.
8. The Consulting Firms Joint Venture is allowed in the submission of the required Proposal.
9. The Proposal must be valid for 120 days from the last date of its submission.
10. A Consulting Firm is required to prepare a Proposal on”Mobilization of Private Sector Participation in Expo 2020-Dubai. In addition the Firm will be required to prepare the Revenue generation and Cost reduction strategy in a Partnership Model, considering fees and other charges involved in Expo event participation.
11. TanTrade reserves the right of accepting or rejecting any Proposal(s) without assigning any reason(s) whatsoever.
12. Interested eligible Consulting Firms may obtain further information from the Office of Tan Trade, Head of PMU (Mobile Phone +255 712 644410), at Mwl JK Nyerere Trade Fair Ground, Kilwa Road from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm on Monday to Friday inclusive except on Public holidays.
13. A Proposal document clearly marked outside the Envelope: “Mobilization of Private Sector Participation in Expo 2020 – Dubai” must be delivered in two copies, one original and one copy, by hand or by courier to the address below by 28th January 2020, 13:00 hours local time Thereafter, the submitted Proposals will be opened promptly in public in the presence of the Bidders’ representatives who choose to attend in person at the address below in the TanTrade Conference Room.

14. Late Proposal shall not be accepted for analysis irrespective of the circumstances.
