MULTI-NATIONAL: BURUNDI/TANZANIA: KABINGO – KASULU – MANYOVU (260.60) –

RUMONGE – GITAZA (4SKM) ROAD UPGRADING PROJECT

CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR DEVELOPMENT OF ADMINISTRATIVE FRAMEWORK, BUILDING CAPACITY FOR RESEARCH ACTIVITIES AND OF THE REGIONAL CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE FOR ROAD SAFETY AT THE NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TRANSPORT

TENDER NO, AE/001/2020-21 /HQ/C/66

1. The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has received a loan from the African Development Bank (AfD8) to finance the Upgrading of the Kabinge – Kasulu – Manyovu Road Section (260.6 km} to Bitumen Standard, It intends to apply part of the proceeds of the loans for eligible payments for consulting services for Development of Administrative Framework, Building Capacity for Research Activities and of the Regional Centre of Excellence for Road Safety at The National Institute of Transport.

2. The services included under this project are:

[a] To develop an administrative framework and review of the existing organizational structure of the Regional Centre of Excellence: RCoE: for Road Safety;

[b) To build capacity to road safety professionals and practitioners for undertaking research activities and consultation services in Tanzania and sub-regions. The estimated time for execution and completion of the assignment is Twelve (12) calendar months. However, 12.5 staff months have been allocated for key staff,

3. The Tanzania National Roads Agency [TANROADS) an Executive Agency of the Ministry of Works and Transport now invites eligible Consultants to express their interest in providing the above-mentioned services. Interested Consultants must provide information indicating the quall dictations for performing the services. Such information may include brochures, descriptions of assignments of similar nature in the last ten (10) years, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate managerial and technical skills among staff related to the assignment, etc for each project performed, the Consultant shall provide the name and address of the Client, start date and completed dates, name’s| of lead and associate fis. Cited projects with insufficient information wall not be considered. Consultants may constitute joint-venture to enhance their chances of qualification.

4. Eligibility criteria, the establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s “Procurement Policy Frame Work, October, 2015° which is available on the Bank’s website at https//. wwew.afdb.org.

5. Interested Consultants may obtain further information at the address below during office hours from 08:00 local time on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on Public Holidays.

6.
