EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR PROVISION OF CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR CARRYING OUT DETAILED ENGINEERING DESIGN, PREPARATION OF TENDER DOCUMENTS AND SUPERVISION FOR PILOT BUILDING AT DODOMA MUNICIPALITY
REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
This Invitation for submission of request for expression of interest follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project which appeared in Daily News Issue No. dated June 20 -26, 2019.
The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has set aside funds for the operation of The NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TRANSPORT during the financial year 2019/2020. It is intended that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used to cover eligible payment under the contract for the CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR CARRYING OUT DETAILED ENGINEERING DESIGN, PREPARATION OF TENDER DOCUMENTS AND SUPERVISION FOR PILOT BUILDING AT DODOMA MUNICIPALITY -TENDER No. PA/028/2019/2020/C/06.
THE NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TRANSPORT now invites eligible Consultants to indicate their interest to provide the service. The interested Consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the service (brochures, description of similar assignment performed, Experience in similar condition in East Africa Region, availability of appropriate skill among staff etc) Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications. Expression of interest is open to all Consultants registered with the Engineers Registration Board Tanzania (ERB). The Consultants will be selected in accordance with the procedure set out in Public Procurement No. 7 of 2011 and the Public Procurement Regulations, 2013 Government Notice No. 446. The selection method will be Consultant Qualification selection (COS) as set out in the Consultant guideline.

Institute of Transport administration Block No. 2 Room Po. Box 705 Dar es Salaam from 08.00 am to 4.00pm on Monday to Friday except public holidays.
This is not a request for proposals, Expressions of interest received will be used to prepare a shortlist of Consultants that responded to this notice. Short listed consultants will be invited to submit Technical and Financial proposals through letter of invitation including specific terms of reference.
Expression of interest in one original plus two copies must be enclosed in a sealed envelope properly, must be 1 delivered to the SECRETARY TENDER BOARD NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TRANSPORT P.O. BOX 705, DAR ES SALAAM at or before 10.00 am on10th December, 2019. The outer envelope must be clearly marked “Expression of interest for provision of Consultancy Services for carrying out detailed engineering design, preparation of tender documents and supervision for pilot building at Dodoma Municipality.
All bids will be opened immediately after deadline for submission in the presence of bidder’s representatives who choose to attend the opening ceremony at The National Institute of Transport Boardroom Block No. 8 Research and Publication Building.
Late submission expression of interest portion bids, electronic bid not received, bid not opened and not read out I in public at the bid opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
