Invitation for Bids: Bid No. PA.022/MNMA/2022/2023/W/6/Lot 1-2 for PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION OF PEMBA CAMPUS, PHASE-I

1. This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project which appeared in the PPRA website dated 01/07/2022.
2. The United Republic of Tanzania has set aside funds for the operation of the Mwalimu Nyerere
   Memorial Academy (MNMA) during the financial year 2022/2023. It is intended that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used to cover eligible payment under the contract for the Construction of Pemba Campus, Phase I.
3. The Mwalimu Nyerere Memorial Academy (MNMA) now invites sealed bids from eligible
   contractors registered in class four (IV) and above with Zanzibar Construction Registration Board, Building category for construction of Pemba Campus, Phase I in two lots as follow;

4. Bidding will be conducted through the Domestic competitive bidding procedures specified in the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act No. 11 of 2016 and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Regulations unless otherwise stated in the Bid Data Sheet.
5. Interested Bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the Bidding Documents at
   the office of the Tender Board’s Secretary, PMU Office – Karume Campus, Mwalimu Nyerere
   Memorial Academy, P.O.Box 307 Bububu, Zanzibar from 08.00 to 15.30 Local time on Monday to Friday inclusive except on public holidays.
6. A complete set of Bidding Document(s) in English or Swahili and additional sets may be
   purchased by interested Bidders on the submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 5 above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Tanzania shilling one hundred thousand only (Tsh 100,000/=). Payment should be settled through the following Account details: The Mwalimu Nyerere memorial Academy via control number issued by Accounts Department – Mwalimu Nyerere memorial Academy, Karume Campus.
7. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of Tanzania shilling ten million only (Tsh
   10,000,000/=).
8. All Bids in one original plus three (3) copies, properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes
   must be delivered to the address Tender Board’s Secretary, PMU Office (Administration Building)

  before 23rd February 2023, 10.00 Local time. Bids will be opened promptly thereafter in public
  and in the presence of Bidders’ representatives who choose to attend in the opening at the
  Conference Room (Administration Building) – Karume Campus, Mwalimu Nyerere Memorial
  Academy, P.O. Box 307 Bububu, Zanzibar

4. Late bids, portion of bids, electronic bids, and bids not received, bids not opened and not read
   out in public at the bids opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstance.
