INVITATION FOR CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR THE REVIEW OF DESIGN AND SUPERVISION OF WORKS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF PASSENGER SHIP IN LAKE VICTORIA
Expression of Interest (E0I)
RE-TENDERING.
International Competitive Selection
1. This invitation for expression of interest follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) which appeared in Daily News Issue no.976510002 dated 1st July 2019.
2. The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has set aside funds for the operation of the Marine Services Company Limited during the financial year 2019/2020. It is intended that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used to cover eligible payment under the contract for the CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR THE REVIEW OF DESIGN AND SUPERVISION OF WORKS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF PASSENGER SHIP IN LAKE VICTORIA.
3. The Marine Services Company Limited now invites eligible ”firm” to indicate their interest in providing the services for the CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR THE REVIEW OF DESIGN AND SUPERVISION OF WORKS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF PASSENGER SHIP IN LAKE VICTORIA.
4. Interested firm” must provide information evidencing that they are qualified and experienced to perform the services by attaching appropriate technical staff with their respective CVs. For the purpose, Documenting evidence(such as Registration evidence of the form to the known engineering organization from respective countries, details /description of similar consultancy services carried out by the company/firm (within last 10 yrs)with Names, date of execution, any associate firm if any and address of clients with a copies for job completion certificates) and at least some of services should be consulting services for the construction of passenger ships /highly skill’s demanding marine vessels.
5. A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the Public Procurement Act No. 7 of 2011 (PPA 2011) as amended in 2016 and the Public Procurement Regulations, Government Notice No. 446 of 2013 as amended in 2016 (hereinafter called Procurement Regulations).
6. The Selection of shortlisted firms will be based on skills/expertise and experience. The shortlisted firms shall thereafter be given the TERMS OF REFERENCE (TOR) for the consultancy. The lowest cost evaluated firm which shall present/demonstrate the best solution for the TOR will be selected among the shortlisted firms.
7. 8. Expressions of Interest (Eol) must be in one (1) original plus one (1) copy and enclosed in a sealed plain envelop clearly marked ”TENDER No. PA/115/2019/2020/MSCL/C/01 FOR CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR THE REVIEW OF DESIGN AND SUPERVISION OF WORKS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF PASSENGER SHIP IN LAKE VICTORIA” and must be delivered to the address below; THE SECRETARY TENDER BOARD, MARINE SERVICES COMPANY LIMITED, MWANZA NORTH PORT, TPA BUILDING2ND FLOOR, P.O BOX 2385 MWANZA, TANZANIA EAST AFRICA and will be opened promptly thereafter in Public in the presence of applicants’ representatives who may choose to attend in the opening ceremony at the office of Purchasing and Supplies Manager’s Marine Services Company Limited Mwanza South on 20th November, 2019 at 1400 hrs.
9. Late Expressions of Interest shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
