FOR PROVISION OF SECURITY SERVICES FOR LAKE ZONE REGIONS INVITATION FOR TENDERS
1. This Invitation for Tenders follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project which appeared in Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) Portal dated 30thAugust, 2019.
2. The Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited (TANESCO) has set aside funds for its operations during financial year 2019/2020 and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this fund to cover eligible payments under the contract for which this invitation is issued.
3. TANESCO now invites sealed Tenders from eligible Tenderers for Provision of Security Services for Lake Zone Regions.
4. Tendering will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) specified in the Public Procurement Regulations, 2013 Government Notice No. 446 read together with Public Procurement Amendment Regulation, 2016 Government Notice No 333 and is open to all Tenderers as defined in the Regulations.
5. The scope of Supply will involve Provision of Security Services for Lake Zone Regions whereby a tenderer may tender any number(s) but the maximum number for award will be two (2) Lots per one (I) tenderer found to be the lowest evaluated for the respective Lots. And be in a position to conduct negotiation on price to have equal price with other lowest evaluated bidders.
6. Interested eligible Tenderers may obtain further information from and inspect the Tendering Documents at the office of the Secretary of the Delegated Zonal Tender Board, TANESCO Lake Zone Mwanza Station P.O. Box 812 Mwanza. Telephone No. +255 28-2541-629 from 09:00 hrs to 16:00 hrs on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays.
7. A complete set of Tendering Document(s) in English and additional sets may be purchased by interested Tenderers on the submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 6 above and upon payment of a non-refundable. fee of TZS 118,000.00 VAT Inclusive or equivalent Payment should either be by Banker’s Draft, or Banker’s Cheque, payable to TANESCO Ltd, PO. Box 812 Mwanza. Bidding documents may be dispatched by courier upon payment of the non-refundable fee. The Tenderer shall pay _courier charges for posting the document. The purchaser shall resume no responsibility for late delivery of bidding documents couriered. Payment should be paid to TANESCO LTD Head Office or Lake Zone.
8. All tenders must be accompanied by a Bid Securing Declaration in the format provided in the Tendering Documents.
9. All Tenders in one original plus three copies, properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes marked TENDER NO: PA/ 001/2019-20/LZN/N/03 FOR PROVISION OF SECURITY SERVICES FOR LAKE ZONE REGIONS (NOT TO BE OPENED BEFORE 10:30 hours 15th November, 2019) must be delivered to the Secretary Delegated Zonal Tender Board, TANESCO Luke Zone Mwanza Station Road PO. Box 812 Mwanza. Telephone No. +255 28-2541-629, at or before 10.30 hours (Local Time) on Friday, 15th November, 2019. Tenders Will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Tenderers’ representatives who choose to attend in the opening Ceremony at Lake Zone PMU Office.
10. Late Tenders, portion of Tenders, electronic Tenders, and Tenders riot received, Tenders not opened and not read out in public at the Tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
