SPECIFIC PROCUREMENT NOTICE Invitation for Pre-qualification
FOR
BUILDING WORKS FOR FINANCIAL YEAR 2019/2020
28th JUNE 2019
This Invitation for Tender follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this Project which appeared in Daily News dated Thursday 28’h February 2019 and Tanzania Procurement Journal (TPJ) Issue No. Vol XII-No. 10, dated Tuesday March 5‘h 2019.
The Mkulazi Holding Company Limited has set aside funds towards the cost of the Construction of various Building works for financial year 2019/2020 and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this fund to payments under the contract for the following Building Works but not limited to:
- Construction of Administration Block;
- Construction of estate Staff Houses;
- Construction of Estate Dispensary;
- Construction of Hostel and Factory site Canteen;
- Renovation of Multipurpose Hall;
- Renovation of Agriculture Workshop; vii. Construction of Worker’s Camp; viii. Construction of Engineering Workshop;
- Construction of Security Huts and Field Toilets
- Construction completion of Farm Offices and
- Factory Repair and Fencing
The Mkulazi Holding Company Limited intends to pre-qualify contractors and/ or firms for various Building works as listed on item 2 above from eligible contractors registered or capable of being registered as Building Contractors Class Five and above. It is exclusive for local contractors only. It is expected that invitations to tender will be made in August 2019.
Pre-qualification will be conducted through the procedures specified in Regulation 119 of the Public Procurement Regulations,-Government Notice 446 of 2013, and is open to all applicants as defined in the Regulations.
Prequalification applications evaluation will be based on Applicants meeting all the minimum requirement under pass-fail criteria regarding their general and particular construction experience, financial position, personnel and equipment capabilities, and other relevant information as demonstrated by the Applicants.
Interested applicants may obtain further information from and inspect the prequalification documents at the office of the Secretary to Tender Board, Mkulazi Holding Company Limited, Mbigiri Estate, Dakawa-Morogoro, Dodoma Road, P.O.BOX 1079, MOROGORO, W from 09:003m to 16:00 hours local time on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays.
A complete a set of prequalification documents in English may be purchased by interested Applicants on the submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 6 above and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of TZS 50,000.00 (Tanzanian Shillings Fifty Thousand only). Payment should either be by Cash, or Banker’s Cheque deposit to “MKULAZI HOLDING CO, LTD, ACCOUNT NO. 001000213438-TSH, AZANIA BANK LTD, MASDO BRANCHDAR ES-SALAAM payable to CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER, MKULAZI HOLDING COMPANY LIMITED, P.O.BOX 1079-MOROGORO.
All applications in one original plus three (3) copies, properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes and marked “PRE-QUALIFICATIONS FOR BUILDING WORKS FOR FY 2019/2020 FOR MKULAZI HOLDING COMPANY LIMITED” must be delivered to the address THE SECRETARY, MKULAZI HOLDING COMPANY LIMITED TENDER BOARD, MBIGIRI ESTATE, DODOMA ROAD, MWALIMU NYERERE MULTI PURPOSE BUILDING, PMU OFFICE, ROOM NO. 5, DAKAWA-MOROGOROP.O.BOX 1079, MOROGORO at or before FRIDAY 12’” JULY 2019 AT 14:30 HOURS. Applications will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of applicants’ representatives who choose to attend in the opening at the MKULAZI HOLDING COMPANY LIMITED MWALIMU NYERERE MULTI PURPOSE BUILDING, BOARD ROOM.
Late applications. portion of applications, electronic applications, applications not received, applications not opened and not read out in public at the tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
