INVITATION FOR TENDERS.

This Invitation for Tenders follows the General Procurement Notice for these Projects which appeared in The Public Procurement Authority Journal, Tender Portal and TANROADS HQ Website Issued on Saturday 01st June, 2019 for Financial Year 2019 / 2020
2. The Government of Tanzania has set aside funds for the operation of the Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS) – Njombe during the financial year 2019/2020. It is intended that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used to cover eligible payment under the contract for the; Routine/Recurrent, Periodic Maintenance, Spot Improvement, Rehabilitation , Upgrading to Double Surface Dressing and Bridge Major Repair & Preventive Maintenance Works in Njombe Region.
3. The Regional Manager TANROADS Njombe on behalf of the Chief Executive TANROADS now invites sealed tenders from eligible National Civil Contractors (Local) Registered in Class Seven (7) or above for the execution of works as indicated below;
4. Tendering will be conducted through the National Competitive Tendering (NCT) procedures specified in the Public Procurement Regulations, 2013 – Government Notice No. 446 as amended in 2016 and is open to National
Tenderers only as defined in the Regulations unless otherwise stated in the Tender Data Sheet.
5. Interested eligible Tenderers may obtain further information from and inspect the Tendering Documents at the office of the Regional Manager – TANROADS Njombe, P. O. Box 885, Njombe (E-Mail: rm-njombe @ tanroads.go.tz ) from 8.00 am to 4.30 pm on Monday to Friday inclusive except on public holidays.
6. A complete set of Tendering Document(s) in English Language and additional sets may be purchased by interested Tenderers on the submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 5 above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Tanzanian Shillings Two Hundred Thousand Only (Tshs.200,000.00) for Tender No. AE/001/2019 – 20/NJ/W/ 12 – 17 & 19 – 30, Payment shall be made through Control Number obtained from the Regional Manager – TANROADS Njombe, P. O. Box 885 Njombe.
7. All Tenders must be accompanied by a Tender Securing Declaration in the format provided in the Tendering Documents.
8. All Tenders must be in ONE (1) ORIGINAL PLUS THREE (3) COPIES (OF THE TRULY ORIGINAL COPY), properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes must be delivered to the address. The Secretary, Delegated TANROADS Regional Tender Board, P. O. Box 885, Njombe, Regional Manager’s Block, Sido Area before 10:00 hrs local time on Monday 5
th AUGUST, 2019. Tenders will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Tenderers’ representatives who choose to attend in the opening at the Regional Manager’s Office.
9. Late tenders, portion of tenders, electronic tenders, tenders not received, tenders not opened and not read out in Public at the tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstance.
