TANZANIA FERTILIZER REGULATORY AUTHORITY

PRE – QUALIFICATION FOR THE IMPORTATION OF BULK FERTILIZER FOR THE PERIOD OF JULY 1 2020 TO JUNE 20 2022

TENDER No. TFRA/PQ/2020-2022/F/01

1. Tanzania Fertilizer Regulatory (TRFA) was established through the fertilizer Act and mandated by the fertilizer (bulk procurement regulation GN 49/2017 to coordinate importation of fertilizer through the bulk procurement system.  The fertilizer (bulk procurement) regulation requires the prescribe types of fertilizer to be under the bulk procurement system
2. Tanzania Fertilizer Regulatory intends to pre-qualify fertilizer dealers importation of CAN, SA, NPK DAP and UREA fertilizer in Tanzania under the bulk procurement system
3. The average annual total volume of CAN, SA, PNK, DAP and UREA fertilizer imported is 600,000 20% metric tons.  Tender shall be floated on product basis whereas the estimated quantity per year is provided below

4. Both locally registered companies and international companies are allowed to participate in BPS Tenders

5. Pre – qualification will be conducted under international competitive bidding through the procedures specified in the fertilizer(bulk procurement) regulations 2017 and the fertilizer bulk procurement guidelines of 2017

6. The pre-qualification bidders shall be eligible to participate in tender for importation and supply of the estimated quantities of fertilizer from July 1 2020 to June 30 2022

7. A complete set of pre-qualification document in English language can be collected by interested companies at TFRA officers after applying and receiving a control number to make online payment of a non-refundable fee of five hundred united states Dollar only to the TFRA account bring the deposit slip to TFRA office on working hours from Monday to Friday between 08: 00 – 15: 30  hrs

8. Applications for pre-qualification should be submitted in sealed envelopes delivered to address below before on Thursday 2^nd April at 11:00 hrs and be clearly marked “application to be pre-qualified for the importation of bulk fertilizer pre- qualification Number TFRA/PQ/2020-2022/F/01

9. Application sent by email not be accepted

10. Application submitted beyond the specified time shall not be accepted

11. Application will be evaluated and results be announced before Wednesday may 15^th 2020 for pre-qualification importers to participate in the tenders from July 1 to June 30 2022
