- WWF Tanzania Country Office is a Non- Government Organization dealing with environmental
protection in Tanzania since 1990, it has supported the Government of Tanzania in implementing
various projects on Marine, Forest, Fresh Water, Energy and Wildlife. WWF global mission is to
stop the degradation of the planet’s natural environment and to build a future in which humans live
in harmony with nature, by:
i. conserving the world’s biological diversity;
ii. ensuring that the use of renewable natural resources is sustainable and
iii. promoting the reduction of pollution and wasteful consumption - WWF Tanzania Country Office has its field offices in Mafia, Kilwa, Masasi, Iringa, Bunda and
Dar Es salaam which is the HQ. In this case, WWF Tanzania through its two Projects BAF and
Mara River Catchment for Mafia and Mara respectively has set aside funds for its operations
during the calendar year 2022/2023. It is intended that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used
to cover eligible payment under the contract for PROVISION OF SECURITY SERVICES. - WWF TCO invites applications from, qualified, competent companies reputable, reliable and
experienced local security companies to submit their tender to provide security services to Bunda
& Mafia Field Offices mentioned above - Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant Security Company should have a branch office located in Mafia and Bunda Localities.
- The Applicant security company should have been in the business of recruitment and supply of civilian security guards for minimum three years.
- The applicant Security Company Annual Turnover should not be less than TZS 20,000,000 during the time of application.
- The Applicant Security Company should be in possession of necessary license from government authorities for running security agency.
- The Applicant Security Company should have complied with all the legal provisions pertaining to his/ its line of business.
- The Applicant Security Company should have minimum 100 number of guards on monthly roll and should have supplied civilian guards to a minimum three Reputable Companies or Organizations, proved with evident for similar work
- The Security Company should have insurance of its business, in case of loss in course of undertaking their duties the Security Companies can be liable to compensate the loss.
- The Security Company shall provide dedicated security guards of highest moral and ethical and in case of any change in the personnel supplied and agreed by both parties be done on mutual agreement this should be done only in very exceptional circumstances.
- Replacement of security guards should be provided in the event of sickness or in any other circumstances, when the guard is absent. guard should be the same person and any change should be communicated to WWF before the change is made
- The expenses on uniforms, other accessories, rainy-wear, torch etc. shall be borne by the Security Company alone
